Would be a nice touch, I ****ing hope so for Gerrard's sake. A legend like him deserves better.

Why would he agree to something like that too? For him he could get so many players to call on who would probably jump at the chance!

    Legendary Names:

Just working from Forwards down off the top of the head he played with you could have Torres, Suarez, Morientes, Crouch, Cisse, Kuyt, Bellamy, Maxi, Garcia, Fowler, Owen, etc. Midfielders in Alonso, Gary Mac, Mascherano, Berger, Redknapp, Sissoko, etc. Defenders Hyypia, Carra, Finnan, Riise, Arbeloa, Aurelio, Henchoz, etc. GK Reina, Dudek, Kirkland, etc.

I am sure I have forgot a ton but just off that list that is nuts!

I still think something special will happen. Steven Gerrard is considered by many to be our greatest ever player, surely if the club are going to honour him with a testimonial they'll do it right?

My theory is that 'Olympiacos' will be a few Olympiacos players but with a squad made up of legends i.e Torres, Fowler, Finnan etc

Still doesn't sit well with me, even though I would prefer that over nothing! I am sure Gerrard would love to take a pass from Alonso before slotting one through to Torres/Fowler/Owen, etc much more than having it the other way around.

What's been up btw? All well on your side of the pond?

Yeah me too, I just want to see Hyypia, Alonso and Carra pull on the shirt one more time. But if it has to be an Olympiacos shirt then I'll deal with it.

Not sure if it's a personal question or a general question so I'll answer both <laugh>

Personally I'm good, a bit bored though of jobhunting since finishing Uni. Fingers crossed I'll find something soon before I turn into a full-time sponge. Generally speaking the main talk round here is of the Suarez situation, everyone's a bit tired of it now and the vast majority of people seem to just want him to go. I reckon no matter what Arsenal bid we keep him though. I'd prefer see him rot in our reserves the season before the World Cup than force a move to Arsenal where he can win even less silverware than where he already is.

If you don't already have something lined up, or know someone who can hook you up, that is a tough tough task at times! Been there man, patience is key.

Ya, I have to say, I think I am one of those that is just tired of Suarez and tired of the lies, the sulking, the BS. After all we have been through with him since he has been here you would think he would try to go about this a different way. His attitude in the Melbourne game said enough for me, he will pout until he moves. Fine. Give us 50 mil so we can reinvest properly. If Soldado is say 25 mil, that still leaves a lot of money to get at least two more quality players in who want to be here.

Would love it if we got CL as well with SUarez gone, would make him look a right tit.

Tell me about it. Something will come up eventually though (I hope).

There is one thing that makes me wonder though. Nobody seems to have noticed that in the last few years we've had far too many 'big' players leave in particularly bad circumstances (sulking, forcing a move etc). Mascherano, Torres, Meireles and now Suarez are the ones that instantly spring to mind. It seems a little unusual to me and I'm starting to wonder if there is more to it all behind the scenes. I remember a quote from Meireles where he claimed that he was 'forced' to hand in a transfer request as Liverpool wanted to sell without the fan backlash. Obviously this isn't the case with Suarez who has publicly expressed that he wishes to leave, but it has me wondering. Could all just be coincedence though...

Wandered off topic a bit here so I'll try and get us back on topic. If as I suggested earlier we were to play an Olympiacos side filled with former Liverpool players I'd love to see a lineup like this:

    Dudek

Traore (unless Riise is fibbing on Twitter)
    Hyypia
    Carra
    Finnan

    Kuyt
    Alonso
    Hamann
    Maxi/Garcia

    Owen
    Torres/Fowler

With maybe a few Olympiacos players thrown in

He plays for Galatasaray and I'm pretty sure he fell out with someone big at the club. Either Stevie, Jamie or Rafa... I'm guessing Rafa.

    Dudek
    Finnan
    Carragher
    Hyypia
    Traore
    Alonso
    Garcia
    Gerrard
    Riise
    Hamman
    Baros

Biscan & Smicer on the subs bench.

Sorted <ok> 2005 winning team, but Hamman in for Kewell (What was Rafa thinking not starting Didi <doh>)

Also just looking at that team and comparing to Milan's I do wonder how the hell we managed to win that <laugh>
Dida, Cafu, Stam, Nesta, Maldini, Pirlo, Gattuso, Seedorf, Kaka, Shevchenko, Crespo. Scary....
