At least Rat will escape the victimisation he has been subjected to in the UK......

Maybe, but given his tendency to cause problems and earn lengthy bans (18 matches for serious offences while at Liverpool and that doesn't include the match ban at Fulham and god knows what else) I believe he'll be a liable for Wenger and not an assert.

His discipline record probably helps Arsenal i think. Without it richer and frankly better clubs like Madrid would be snapping him up.

When he is on the pitch he's exactly the kind of proven goalscorer that they need and would otherwise be quite unlikely to get. For 4/5ths of the season they'll be a much more dangerous team.

Perhaps but given his previous behaviour and recent statements that the English media were the reason for him wanting to leave England, (Geography not one of his strengths) I don't think he'll be of much help long term to Wenger. In fact quite the opposite with Arsenal wondering why they bothered in the first place.

Also I feel that if Real wanted him, an offer would already have been made. I could be wrong but IMO no one outside London appears to seriously want him and tbh who'd blame them?

Oh i don't believe for a second that Suarez is a long term solution to anybody's problems. It just seems Arsenal are the only ones desperate enough to go for the expensive quick fix. The fact the nobody else wants him gives Wenger that opertunity. Suarez has no other options for CL football and probably wont for a couple of seasons at least.

Tbh Arsenal don't seem to have anything other than a short term solution available. Like shwan said, they missed out on Jovetic and Higuain so their options for a top class striker are limited. If not Suarez, then who else? He's one of the few players good enough for Arsenal yet not on the radar of a bigger club that hasn't been shedding its players and fighting for 4th for the past few seasons.

true enough Gaius and if he signs the promises will fall short soon after, they lose any player of quality, RvP to you lot, Fab to Barca amongst other, fab even to be 2nd string at Barca he still left. Good players eventually get tired of lining the pockets of arsenal shareholders with CL qualification ever year without the prospect of ever having a chance to win the damn thing. They would need to sign more players than Suarez alone to achieve anything but it seems all the arsenal eggs are being put in that basket to quiet fan discontent.

If he even signs for them, which is not even remotely certain at this point

Tell all of your list of misdemeanors to Giggs brother see if it makes a difference<ok>

Suarez, distastful but talented footballer - decent human being
Giggs, talented gentleman of a footballer - despicable human being and epic idiot

No one who thinks it's acceptable to be a racist and to bite someone in anger can be considered a decent human being. He's about to leave Liverpool, you don't need to lower your own moral standards to his level to defend him anymore.

Lol what has Ryan Giggs go to do with this? Nothing is the answer. Suarez may end up at Arsenal, sticking two fingers up at Rodgers, LFC and the fans as he leaves. Quality love the loyalty. Wenger however will come to regret signing a person of that calibre.

Liverpool fans are becoming desperate ..
regarding AW, let us see how he will mange him, but what is certain is that more bottles will be kicked everytime a ref deny Suarez a foul or a penalty

Exactly, all this means is that Wenger will become even more of a twat in his post game interviews.

"I saw the penalty very clearly. It was definitely a penalty. I did not see Suarez bite the other guy. That did not happen"

    Can't wait <ok>

**** Suarez. Who actually cares about a part time footballer?

He's worth £1.64 at the very most. That's 25million minus 24,999,998.36 for the inevitable **** he will cause.

Genuinely brilliant but mental players lead their teAms to glory. Suarez has led Liverpool to a joke.
