Hello everyone first time poster after spending the last few years watching most of you on the original 606 site. Just been tweeted by Sky Sports that Swansea have offered £3 million to Watford for Danny Graham. Just thought it would be a shame to be guzumped by Swansea on this deal.
swans are doing it right, get in and get your targets early. got more time to gel over the closed season then. not us. i can see the board saying that were strong enough already and making leon clarke style signings.
There is an element of truth in what you are saying but Leon Clarke style signings is an overstatement, I HOPE.
It has started already. As soon as someone makes an offer for, or signs, a player that Warnock might (or might not) be interested in there are resounding calls of "Why didn't we sign him?" and "Why aren't our board spending the money?" ABITB would be in his element here. It was the same last year with lots of people moaning and saying that Warnock's purchases were very uninspiring and that the board (complete with Bhatia) should be spending enormous amounts of cash to get us promoted. Guess what, we won the league. If this is going to continue then I think that I will go on holiday or find a mineshaft to explore for the next couple of months.
We will probably wait untill Swansea sign him then Warnock will turn round and say he was gutted to miss out on him.
Au contraire Northolt, I reckon if Warnock is dead set on him and convinces the Board as to what he can add to the team, we'd outbid anyone
Eamon, I agree with you ABITB would have a field day reading all this transfer talk. In Neil we trust
