I really didn't come on here to gloat and I understand about being frustrated and maybe being disappointed, I felt that yesterday when I thought Hooper to QPR was a done deal as we also need another striker. As a football fan in general I am always interested in other teams supporters opinions.

If I'm being honest, I haven't seen much of Hooper to form any kind of opinion on him. But if this deal does happen, then I'm just happy we've got another striker as we seriously lack them at the moment.

But if you get Austin, then that will be a good signing for QPR.

Do they agree personal terms and then do a medical? Our only hope is that they are yet to agree personal terms and we can then offer
    Higher wages hopefully

We get a few on our board, so I understand :) But hopefully I don't come across like that, I always try and be respectful and polite what ever forum I post on.

Refreshing to hear from a opposition fan who is reasoned and polite on here. We do have a few fans from other clubs who are the same as you, but unfortunately the majority seem not to be that way!

Whoever gets Hooper will get a good player imo. Someone who knows where the goal is, and has scored them at the highest level (Champions League). Cant blame him for choosing the PL club if he does, its what most players would do.

So, no Hooper, Mackie wants out, what happens if Remy goes to Newcastle and we don't get Austin - Cissé gone, DJ, Bothroyd, Hulse all gone (first two likely good Championship players) - we only have that donkey Zamora left plus his foil Johnston to turn over teams in the Championship? So what exactly is Plan B - Matt Tubbs (Crawley), Adam LeFondre (Reading), Brett Pitman (Bournemouth) all seem to know how to score goals? Do we go get Helguson out of retirement in Iceland to come and play for us? Maybe Tony could take a trip there with one of his FIFA games?

According to Sky, we've agreed a 4 year deal with him and he is/has taken his medical this afternoon!

Many fans from other teams seem to be questioning where we have managed to get all our money from but as drunky has said we are now debt free and so can spend any money that comes into the club.

So far this summer from this summers budget we've spent around £11mil which is sound business. Rumours were we would have around £25mil to spend which is naff all in the prem but if you add the reported £5.5mil to that for Hooper and the 10mil euro that Quag would cost it comes up to that sort of figure.

Hopefully see you again next season <ok> Do like the banter between our 2 clubs!

Can't see us playing you next year. If you stay up we won't get promotion, if you get relegated there's a good chance we will too!

i'd have hoped that over time Norwich and QPR would get on a bit better, especially as the cause of the animosity seems to be a fairly recent and minority held lack of decency. The QPR boards a good place to read, and a impressive community.

If we have signed him you can still take solace in the fact that he is a gamble and could disappoint. Hope you manage to keep Remy, as he'll rip strips of the championship. His court date may be the best thing to happen for you!

and col, if he does sign, its probably time for you to really REALLY ****ing hate Norwich.

I like your board and most of your posters are knowledgeable.OK we've had a few spats but half the Premiership boards are dead.

As I indicated, we could bring Helguson out of retirement - Kevin Phillips, aged 40, still going strong, scoring goals, just signed a one year deal with Palarse. Tommy Smith could likely also do a job for us.

I can just see DJ, Bothroyd & Mackie banging in goals against us. We do have Richard Dunne though, and at least he swings both ways, OG's + bags a few.

Austin, Tubbs, LeFondre, Pitman or Rhodes would be great Championship level acqusitions for us and would likely bag a bunch of goals, as would Mackie and Remy (if he stays put).

Yes, indeed - just look at Stoke City - a real lively bunch, even with Sparkless at the helm.

Steady CT we don't take well to flattery, we're too busy with internecine strife

Can't you go and bother the dormant Ipswich forum? There's a good lad
