Not technically true, the one kept alive is still going strong, a little senile and generally full of ****e but apparently resides in Aberdeen and his internet name is ER.
Aliens exist and the governments cover it up. Listen to The Stranglers seminal 1981 album "The Gospel According To The Meninblack". The Meninblack are government agents that "quieten" people that have had close encounters of the third kind. The Stranglers knew it and were persecuted for it.
I've ****ing told you before, The Stranglers album Gospel was written when they were ****ed on smack. It's a smack heads dig at God. Pretty good album though.
You obviously have not read "A Strange Chain Of Events". There is practically nothing I do not know about The Stranglers. So you might as well bugger off.
After Hugh Cornwell left they became shallow. The only thing left was/is JJ's bass playing, probably the best bass guitarist of all time.
Cornwell was a twat towards the end. His musical writing was **** and he is full of ****. The last three Stranglers albums has seen a magnificent return to form with Baz and JJ sharing the song writing duties. Now go away you ignoramus.
You ****ing Philistine, Hugh Cornwell was the Stranglers. He wrote the vast majority of their material. The best they ever did was their first album Rattus almost exclusively written by HC. After he ****ed off they carried on performimg but only for old nostalgic ****s like you.
You know **** all. Hugh and JJ shared the song writing and JJ's were on the whole better. Come back when you know what you are talking about. Cornwell likes to think he did everything. And if anyone is The Stranglers it's Jet Black. Any ****in clown knows The Stranglers came about because of Jet. I seriously think you need to toddle off and learn your history. Massive fail Gas.
Jet (the fat **** on the drums) Black founded them, I'll give you that, but on the song writing................get tae **** ya old senile ****. I agree that JJ wrote and put the melody to a good few numbers but the songs that got them famous in the main were Hugh Cornwells work. Rattus 100%. most of Raven. Black and White, The Gospel According to the Men In Black and La Folie after that, and to this day they were/are totally and utterly ****.
You're talking out of your arse, Gas. They're ****ing brilliant. Seen them live a couple of times and they were the mutt's nuts
Mate I seen them a few years ago and they were tops, great gig. I'm not saying they can't still hack it just that they lost the biggest part after HC. The record/album sales speak for themselves. ps; I was just winding up ER until you came wading in
