I don't think we should sell Johnson because he's actually one of the best in the prem at what he does. He adds real steel defensively and his passing has improved. He is much less liable to be caught on the ball too. I actually think his vision is quite good - he regularly tries through balls and lifting it over the top, it's just his execution that comes up short, which can be practised. We should be able to carry him in midfield. It's no surprise to me that Swansea were interested in him as he is just the sort of midfielder they need. One more ball-playing centre midfielder next to Fer and I think we'd barely notice Johnson's shortcomings.
On Fox - there are rumours that he was pretty ruined for most of the season by glandular fever, which really can have a lasting effect. Given how much he's featured on the US tour and that our team could now cope with his defensive shortcomings, I think we might see more of him.
As for Snodders, not a chance - who else is going to play on the right? I can only assume you would prefer Elliott there.
Having watched both games I would say fox was pretty average. In the earthquakes game he gave the ball away too much and last night was pretty anonymous.
I wonder wether this was him being given an opportunity to really force his way into the side. If so I don't feel he's taken it. Might be a different story in training though.
