We shouldn't be jumping to conclusions but better to have the game played and points on the board rather than the game in hand. I read that Mata and Co will maybe miss the Hull game so will be all fresh for Villa.
Match fitness is crucial in August, I'm very pleased we have back-to-back games. Means we will undoubtedly approach the game in better shape than United and most probably be ahead of them going into the game thus giving us a psychological edge. Villa are no mugs and will want to avenge last season but I don't think they'll fancy Stamford Bridge midweek. Fingers crossed, delighted we get this out the way before the CL campaign starts though
Our pre season games in Asia will have the squad well fit for seasons start. So 3 quick games with some clever selections should hopefully get us off to a flying start. Lets hope so.
