Was pretty pissed off at first - but hey, you can't blame him for making a choice. It's yet another way that football uses and abuses - everyone's at it. Good luck to him.
I would prefer that we kept our mouths shut and announce our deals when they're done personally, all this self adulation and 'look at me' publicity is sickening sometimes. Just get on with business.
Time to move on... we have positions to fill, and hopefully have a good list of possibilities. Let' get out there and do business!!!

Let's look on the bright side; that's £5m we've still got to squander on some overpriced has been last payday mid 30 year old crock before August. Happy shopping.

<steam>It's normal to have four fingers and one thumb you moron! Therefore, under your scenario, he would of course fit in as he would have an extra finger...epic fail!

Reknapp's reputation seems to be not as good as he is thinking of. Really naive. One should get the target or just be quiet. Don't rate him at all. Isn't attracting really good players.

Can't rise above it can you? Flocking round like miniature yellow vultures only to find that we aren't too bothered. Enjoy Hooper - if he proves to be any good in the Prem, you won't have him for long.

Not sure why you included me in that reply, I didn't rise to it :)

Was interested in what you all had to say about Hooper though and that's why I came on here. Unless that's against the rules?

Also, does sound like some of you do care judging by this thread.

But I didn't come on here to argue :)

Someone at the club needs to shut Redknapp up tbh. How can he be allowed to publicly speak about targets, and players who could join.

I think the real deciding factor of where Hooper ends up is the league; play in the premiership or the championship?
Any Mensa members assist me with this one?

One thing that does irk me slightly is the continual moneybags assertion; is it right that once Hooper's transfer is complete you will have spent in excess of £24 million? With your board talking of signing Quags' aswell. Is that not the same kind of figures we were reprimanded about by clubs that are debt free?

Our clubs are not poles apart; I'm not getting into 'my dad's bigger than your dad' crap; although my opinion I doubt you will get many neutrals without any angle saying different.

I make no bones about wishing you losses a plenty this season; but that's not because of the Hooper saga.

As I said, I'm not here to fight or argue, just talk about football. Not so sure why you are giving attitude, if I said something wrong I apologies.

Yeah it's something like that. but the Wolfswinkel deal is apparently from last season budget, we're debt free and have that big tv deal money that every team got. You could argue we're spending big money on more younger quality players then you did, (Don't mean that in an offensive way, obviously just my opinion).

But as I said in the other thread, I'm sure you will rebuild and learn from your mistakes and bounce back.

Not at all, apologies for including you. Its good to have visitors, especially from the lofty heights of the Prem. To be honest I was expecting a lot more gloating on here when we went down than we got and deserved.

Actually I don't know anything much about Hooper, just irritated by our cock up, Harold saying it was a done deal prematurely. We need a goalscorer, at least one, though.

It is nowhere on Sky transfer page, hasn't been mentioned on there all day as far as I can see, where has this come from?

You sound very reasoned; such posters always welcome.
I agree your spending does appear more productive; we will have to disagree about whether it is all sky tv money etc.

As for the hostility; three words; Red Rag Bull.
Most visitors (we are not unique here though) are there with the motive of being a wum.

I concede that you do not appear to be one of those.
