Cisse is understood to have resolved his dispute with Newcastle United.

The Magpies striker is expected to return to full training with the rest of his team-mates tomorrow....

It will be like another signing ....

It is very good news.

The whole situation was dealt with badly from the start from both sides.
But thankfully, they've finally found sense.

Disagree about it being like another signing.
This just puts us back to where we were at end of last season and in need of new players.

Still good news though.
Maybe its the start of a roll with an announcement on a signing following shortly.

I think Hillier's tongue may have been somewhere vaguely in his cheekish region

Is it good news? Retaining (for now) another player that is clearly disgruntled...

Sure it's good news.

Half the players in the prem get itchy feet over the transfer window. The season starts and all is well until the next chance for agents to stir mischief.

Maybe Cisse wants to move somewhere better. He knows what he is going to have to do to get the top clubs tossing money his way - - if he does that for a season and ****s off leaving buckets of cash in his wake, then I will be entirely happy.

Whoopee ****e, Cisse has finally realised that he's being the worst kind of hypocrite and agreed to wear the 'WONGA' shirt <doh>

Obviously wearing the 'Virgin Money' shirt didn't bother him last season and wearing 'Barclays' on his shirt since he's been in England didn't bother him either.

What a farce.

The whole thing was a bad joke from the start.

I'm angry and sickened with the name of Newcastle United being linked with laughable 'disputes' such as this Muslim/mustn't make money from money bullshit.

It may not bother you that the name of our club is being dragged through the mud time after time, but it does me. <ok>

I bet he is losing fortunes at the casino. His bluff for a better contract/move has failed badly. He picked the wrong gambling adversary in Ashley. Funny this happens just days after his casino photo appears. Neat work Mike, keep your best card to last.

In all seriousness though I can't pretend I'm overly pleased that an employee has decided he should actually be at work. For me, as much as they regime may not be my favourite group of people, I see little wrong at their end and everything at Cisse's. This is something that should have been resolved pretty quickly.

Heard the squad is supposed to be near to full fitness anyway, at least that's one good thing.

The best thing would be hearing that we'd signed a new first class striker.

The amount of mud I've seen the club's name dragged through, one of our players acting like a hypocrite/miffed prima donna doesn't even count as anything but everyday wear and tear. Cisse has looked like a bit of a tit as a result of all this but (aside from being sponsored by Wonga) the club comes out of it looking just fine to me.

I do think a lot of unfair criticism has been leveled at Cisse on this matter.

I will happily change my view if anyone can refer me to any article or interview or anything where Cisse has been quoted as saying why he wouldn't wear a "wonga" shirt or what his objections were.

I have read a lot of people claiming it was on religious grounds but where and when did Cisse say this?

It may be that Cisse's objections were not for religious reasons but for moral and ethical reasons. If it was for ethical and or moral reasons then Cisse can quite properly go to a casino and still object to Wonga's business practices. It may not mean he is a perfect Muslim but so what? how many perfect people exist in the real world. Not being a perfect person wouldn't and shouldn't stop anyone criticising Wonga taking advantage of a lot of disadvantaged people.

I am aware that Wonga's interest rates only go sky high if a person defaults on the payments to them but due to the target group Wonga aim for the likelihood is that much higher than for "standard" loan companies.

Accordingly, it does seem a lot of people are making a lot of assumptions and jumping to conclusions to then call Cisse an hypocrite. They may be right but I think it's totally unfair on Cisse to slag him off when to most of us the facts are not known.

Does this 'agreement' involve some kind of improved contract I wonder?

Perhaps they'll leave it a week and then announce it as great news, totally unconnected, like a new signing blah blah blah.

I still like Papiss as a player though and his goals did keep us in the PL last season – purely because no one else chipped in once Demba jumped ship!

But if he doesn't want to be here anymore then flog, flog, flog please. Joe's holiday won't pay for itself people...

Sorry, he signed a contract that says he gets paid a stupid amount of money and in exchange has to play football wearing Newcastle United strip. There is no moral and ethical ground to say that I am not prepared to fulfil my contract
