how many times did we sigh at the sight of a free kick not getting past the first man and corners for that matter, with the extra higjt we have now it should be exploited , further to that we know why those fouls would have been so deep , it was we hardly went forward over the half way line , it will be the same release for johnson hes a forward not a defender , these players need the ball in front of them to shine not five meters in your own half and no options other than square or backwards, a huge difference i believe we will see.

He looked trim in that video somebody posted the other day of the lads doing a training session. Great player who shouldn't be let go unless we get a really stupid bid for him, up in the double digits of millions.

Just wanted to congratulate you on the win, and wish you luck for the upcoming season (except when it hurts our cause, of course). I hope you beat Man City in the final.

Fair enough, good points. Hopefully we see an uptake in goals from set pieces

im sure we will , i dont know the stats for us with free kicks and corners but i would imagine it is not a good ratio from kicks to goals.
but we do have one of the best spot kick takers in the prem in gards

Do you think all the Sess leaving talk was because PDC said to ALL the players. Shape up or ship out? I think he probably told them all he was going to beast them preseason. the ones that did not fancy it are going and the ones left have bought into it and got themselves in great shape.

We must keep Sess, with our current standing and budget we could never replace him.

The match today was impressive, we had all the best chances against a side who will be challenging for a champions league position next season. They were missing key players but then so were we. Ndaiye and Fletch immediately come to mind and our left back was playing for them ;)

Brown's goal oozed set piece class. I think set pieces will be very different this season. Saying that, I don't know how a professional footballer can't beat the first man from a corner. I can whip a football to the back post with both sides of my right peg and I'm a fat knacker who never played higher than Sunday League.

I say this all the time!

I rarely, if ever hit the first man when crossing, it's ridiculous.
