Tweet from Alistair Durden: "Colchester manager Joe Dunne confirms John-Joe O'Toole is on the verge of leaving the club. #BristolRovers" Get the f**k in Whats the bet he joins another club or gets injured straight away and is out for 9 months
John-Joe O'Toole is set to begin talks with another club, as his exit from Colchester United looms closer. The tenacious midfielder has not featured in any of the U's last three pre-season friendlies, including their 3-0 defeat at the hands of Ipswich Town tonight. O'Toole has been linked with the likes of Bristol Rovers, Gillingham and Southend United this summer and has found himself down the pecking order at Colchester. And U's boss Joe Dunne admitted that the former Watford youngster is in a "positive" situation, in terms of finding a new club. Dunne said: “JJ wasn’t here tonight and he’s in a positive situation with (another) club. He will speak to that club and see what comes out of it. He has three clubs interested in him and he has a year left on his contract. In the current market, he’s in a positive situation with the clubs who are after him. It’s about what is best for JJ. We have competition in that area but JJ brings quality to any team. It would be unfair to compare him to one or two other midfielders because he’s been asked to play in a certain way. I just feel that at this stage of his career, he’s in a more positive with those clubs.” Colchesters local press... http://www.gazette-news.co.uk/sport/colchesterunited/10566714.O_Toole_set_to_leave_U_s/
tweet from norburn just a few minutes ago.... "Wonder if the long haired Jesus look a like going to come say hello sooner or later? @johnjoeotoole ...."
Alistair Durden ‏@alidurdenBBC 2h John-Joe O'Toole has agreed a three-year deal with Bristol Rovers, and I understand he will sign for them later this morning from Colchester
It's not rocket science! The minute JW appears to go cold on the deal and talks about going elsewhere, Joe Dunne changes his tune.
Great news! Now let's hope he doesn't get decapitated by a paper cut whilst signing his new contract, or trip on his shoelaces and dislocate his spine on the way out of the Mem....
i dare you chris to post a thread on the OS that twitter says o'toole is injured and out for 6 months after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury in his 1st training session back as a rovers player
