95% of the numbers there are the same as last season, so no real surprises. The 9 was Cisse's.

But its a good sign that it is free, although I doubt for Hooper - as he seems to like 88 going by his celtic number!

I expect a few to go out of that list though.

I dont think English numbers go over 49 hence why Hooper is going for 9. I think he only took 88 because 9 was taken at celtic.

    Didn't know that!

I do still think we need two strikers though. Hooper and Austin would do nicely.

Ive been saying that for years, Rhodes too. We need a big man because thats how Harry plays in a 442 but Zamora is the ultimate donkey.

True a big guy would be ideal alongside Hooper/Remy. But I guess that would mean we wouldnt get Austin. Would like to sign him!

How about a 4-3-3! Hooper, Austin, Remy as the front three.

    We're getting Austin Powers?

We're saving 666 for Diouf. "Good sort, leader on the pitch, proven at this level"

Christ, that makes him knocking on 54 now. No wonder he needs a Zimmer frame.

Would like to see Adel wearing the 7 shirt again, don't think the 10 suits him.

Harold wouldn't know what 4-3-3 was if it jumped up and head butted him!!!!!!! Looks like we are stuck with the out dated, out moded, pre-historic 4-4-2.....Oh for a young, far sighted, talented manager......

I don't care what shirt number he wears as long as he is wearing OUR shirt. The shirt number is irrelevant.

So thats why hes about as immobile as a wardrobe. I think theres obvious exceptions if all the numbers are already taken, maybe that was the case.

Does anyone routinely wear a number over 50?

I think you have to give one in order to be able to play them, so we couldnt play him in an emergency if we didnt give him a number.

Does anyone know if Remy has actually kicked a ball in pre-season or are we going to be playing "rush" striker against Wednesday in a 4-6-0 formation?

Nope, Remy hasnt played a single minute yet. The club said he was going to Austria (he was there) to play, but didnt.
