Errr shako, have you heard about the ****ty little pub team darn sarf that are bagging all the Championship's best players because the club is best prepared for FFP?
Closer as they're in sarf landon but they're busy at London Bridge station. Very vocal support so that rules the nigels out
Nope, you win Stevo, you'll have to tell me who and why... my keyboard won't let me print out the name.
It's a club called Millwall who apparently as well as putting money aside also got rid of a lot of deadwood last season but were accused at the time when players were leaving that it was simply another rat leaving a sinking ship. Seems good logic to me tbh personally shako because now other so-called bigger clubs are having to cut their clothes to comply with FFP regulations and big earners like Bailey & McDonald who both left Boro to join this Millwall are happy to lower their wage demands to bag a deal elsewhere now the realisation of living in tough times with football living outside of its means for far too long combined with FFP starting in season 2014/15 next year also meaning that the days of sky high, unaffordable and unsustainable wages are over. Millwall even beat off Leicester trying to torpedo the McDonald deal at the 11th hour which'll please the Millwall boys as I'm told that they like to take the piss out of the crisp fans, that would never have happened last year when Millwall lost Wood to Leicester.
Its an illusion the further down the leagues they slip the bigger they look Theyll look even bigger next season
will pay big odds them both getting relegated mighty.or did you mean greater Manchester . Stockport ? Bury ?
Couple responses to this. Firstly I wouldn't say we have ever been as big a club as liverpool, even in the height of our successes they were still huge and are probably still the biggest club in england and in the top 3 or 4 in the world. Huge amount of successes and trophies to there names and one of the biggest worldwide followings. Secondly, how many can stevenage hold in there ground. From my understanding it was a sell-out so we couldn't have fit anymore in so its a bit harsh to compare to the MCG which is one of the biggest stadiums in the world. Thirdly, Liverpool didn't take 90,000 to australia. Melbourne as a city love sport, in fact I believe there was a fact that as a city they are the biggest sport lovers in the world. Pretty much the whole city would've wanted a ticket for that before even considering the fans that Liverpool took over, regardless of who was playing they would've wanted to watch it. I also think it has something to do with current quality of players, for example who do we have in our squad that even compares to Luis Suarez ability wise. No one. For me this is one of the most incomparable statements that has been made on this forum.
