The only thing with Hull compared to a bigger city such as Glasgow is, i always bump into exs and other conquests... Be the city centre being so small
It just occasionally barks out motivational slogans. "You're the man!" "You're a tiger!" "Procrastination is for ****ers!" "TURN TAPE OVER!". Haha. Barks. Wood. Phrasing.
... ha ha now we have the truth ... you've actually made a coffee table out of a now discontinued Ford model that had been torched ... I take it you don't live in one of the nicer areas of Hull? ... annnnddddddddddd ...back on topic ...
The humorous subtext only works if the reference is correct. In this case, I think you were referring to a Ford Sierra? Not much to go on really. As for living in a nice part of Hull, I do actually. It's called Harrogate, a small suburb where affluent people gather to have money fights and sacrifice poor folk to the sky people. They still won't give me a good broadband package though.
Nah, that's where I am. Kirk Ella. Full of old people. It just smells of baking, stale tobacco smoke and piss. Though quite often I receive a few biscuits from the next door neighbour.
I live in Roos. It's a cross between The Shire from LOTR, Sandford from Hot Fuzz (just because I'm sure that everyone here is secretly a psychopath) and the island from The Wicker Man (because it seems to be cut off from the outside world, and there is probably some Pagan cult hidden here somewhere) (also, I mean the original version of that island, not that train wreck that Nick cage visited).
Mmmmm visited some of the tourist spots so I don't suppose the real America, Las Vegas, Memphis, Chicago and what I saw I liked. But Memphis was odd in the sense we were followed by some people just because they loved to hear us talk, France is a beautiful country, its just full of French. But in comparison to Hull I don't think you can compare, each place has good and bad but Hull gets bad press for no other reason that's it seems cool to pick on Hull. Whereas London gets billions spent on its deprived areas, disguised a Olympic regeneration money, Hull got nothing and still have many deprived areas. One of the first things this so called government did when coming to office was to withdraw the funding in place to regenerate Hawthorn Ave leaving people living amongst boarded up houses and other derelict buildings not knowing if they were being rehouse or ghettoed. Hull has had a good kicking from various governments and I still have to think of any benefits of having an MP who was also Deputy Prime Minister. If he did help Hull in any way whilst in office could someone tell me the details?
Bit harsh to blame this govt for the halted works around Hawthorne Ave. The clearing of areas between Hessle Rd and Anlaby Rd has been going on for decades, in stops and starts, nearly always with govt and EU handouts. Th recent tarting up of West Park was EU money, put aside for urban park regeneration, hence the silly rusty architecture and unnecessary replacing of the old Edwardian gates. Use it or lose it - if the pot's on offer you better take it.
