Forgot you'd been away, how was it? I agree, Soldado would be the more plan b type don't you think so? Big, good in the air, although very good with his feet. Sanchez is more of a Rodgers type player, can play along the front three.
Lamela would be good but I think Muriel just moved to a new club? Not sure though. If you want to go for a cheaper option there is always Gomis out there who is similar. I think Kiesling would be a good signing as well and Hyypia would obviously talk us up.
I think we only need one more of those anyway as we have many players who can do that now, think we need that target who can use his feet. It was cracking man, I want to be back in Miami pronto!!!
Yeah good shouts. Just think that we can spend the same amount of money (if not less) on younger prospects who have more potential.
Was more or less throwing a name out there but I don't think Carroll is better than, I don't think Carroll is even top 10 in the prem. Damiao, Lucas has talked that one up as well and would be a good tool to use to bring him in if we are serious. Another one from Ajax in Siem De Jong too.
That's why I feel we could do with Sanchez and Soldado, but it'll be very unlikely IMO. Sanchez as a direct replacement for Suarez and Soldado as an extra signing, the target man who can use his feet.
All well and good when they're fit. That's the thing with Suarez, you hardly ever see him on the treatment table. (I'm referring to Sturridge more than Coutinho though both have struggled with injurys in recent years)
this is why I keep saying we need a striker but BR won't buy someone that can only play the one position. Neymar would have been good
But we have bid for Soldado (Graham Hunter confirmed this) ... Soldado has 60 goals in 100 games for Valencia which is an impressive record. Makes a change buying someone who is in their peak as opposed to raw potential.
Is he reliable? I'd take him in a heart beat, like I said earlier, not often a club not in the CL has a chance to sign a Spanish international with a 1 in 2 strike rate. If the deal is do'able I hope we sort it regardless of whether Suarez leaves or not.
