Its a shame Cattermole didn't get to play.

In those conditions his sliding tackles would of been spectacular. Never ending.

I would have give him 15 mins before he was sent off on that pitch.

Yeah, the lad looks visibly happier, he's always had that kinda lost look on his face, but that seems to have developed into an almost smile, ha.

Having Giacc and Ba, Karlsson, Cabral, who all look to like the ball at their feet, can only free up Sess, and if you give Sess space, you are in the ****.

    I think he'll have a massive season.

I think if Spurs play 4-3-3-1 they'll win most games!

    Haha oops.

Its because I changed it and forgot to take out Demebele!

Sandro & Paulinho - Dembele on bench.

To be fair we could have been playing 12 today and not won ;)

I think we can get better a lot cheaper abroad. He has a terrible injury record, will be on high wages and will demand a higher fee than someone from abroad.

I hope you're right, mate. I do like Hudd though and I think those deep-lying playmakers are few and far between, so I'd be happy to splash significant cash for him.

Our scouting team seems to have already found some gems, so i have every faith they can find another. Like Di Fanti said, Di Canio gives them the qualities he is looking for and then the team goes and finds them. Im sure they will have a few decent playmakers in mind.

On a side note, i reckon the development players like DMK and Ba might end up pushing for a spot on the bench come first game of the season if todays cameos are anything to go by.

Karlsson looked every bit 1st team ready to me mate, he has played a lot of games already for a top, top club, admittedly in a weaker league, but when he good the ball he looked a real threat and full of confidence.

Ba looked sharp too, and in no way out of his depth, I agree they both may well see more action than we thought.

Karlsson is certainly in my thoughts already.

I agree mate and i think he may be the reason that the Mavrias deal may not go through. I imagine the higher ups are probably thinking why spend another 2.5 mil when we have someone here ready and waiting to push the wingers already.

Really like the look of Mavrias, but yesterday paolo said about Giacc 'he is a great winger', so, left side sorted. AJ is nailed on down the right.

If we have Karlsson & Ba also, admittedly based on a fleeting view, Mavrias may be overkill.

I still think we'll go for him though, as he can play both sides, but it's less of an issue if we don't based on the 2 of them today.

I think the midfield is good to go, personally, and 2 wing backs and a stirker is all we need. If i'm greedy, I would still like a CB as we can't rely on Wes staying fit.

I think we look strong on the wings. We have Giaccherrini, Johnson, DMG, Sess, Larsson who can all do a job there. PDC has said he wants a playmaker in the middle to go alongside Cabral. I reckon the CM and 2 full backs and happy days. If we are being greedy, 1 more striker but i cant see it as apparently PDC is a fan of Ji.

CB wise we have got Wes, O'Shea, Diakite, Roberge, Laing and Cueller so seem stocked there an all.

Ive never seen everyone agreeing so much on this board. I cant wait for the season to begin, haha.

I reckon if we needed to play seb at cm today then there's still room for another cm.

Pray we can keep Brown fit like.

    I think we need

    x1cb
as many fullbacks as we can pick up. (won't be many, we clearly have no luck.)
    1xcm
    1xlm
    and one cf.

If we let no more leave.

Interesting viewing today indeed. I was very impress with Ba, for someone who is only 18 he did not look out of place and seemed very confident, he reminded me a bit of a young Patrick Vieira. Karlsson does look ready so no worries if we can't get another winger/forward/

These are the questions I have: Can we keep Sess and Ndaiye? if we can midfield is sorted. We just need fullbacks and a striker.

Do you think Spurs will keep Rose if we put a big bid in?? he did not look very interested today, I just think he wants to play for us in his heart.

I should imagine if we are looking for a playmaker, it will be from Serie A, due to the scouting team.

I reckon Antonio Candreva is a likely target, although people will say he's out of reach, he's similar in stature to Giacc.

Unless Pirlo or Marchisio fancy Wearside like...
