He took part in the warm-up v Derby and was whacking shots at the goalies. Also took part in the small passing games. Definitely on his way back.
Good - we need backup for Parkes and McChrystal, especially with our alarming and growing injury list
I wish JJ looked a bit happier about his decision on Gas Player...though perhaps he's a bit shy and not all that good at interviews!
He was never good with interviews. I remember when he was first here on loan, I thought, Well this guy obviously doesn't want to be here, look at the grumpy bastard, and then on his first game he exploded on the scene and had a cracker...
He can be as miserable as sin as far as I'm concerned, as long as he does the business on the pitch and plays like he did during his loan spell last season.
Really P49 Gill Not convinced he is good enough unless he works well with JJOT Kenneth give me a break longer he is out the better No Legs Paterson we would have let him go unfortunately he had an extra 1yr clause in his contract The others are okies oh yeh and you forgot Clarkson which could be a help with Brunt and Brogs injuries and backup.Clucas will be out for ages. COR
COR...I'm wearing my Mr.Optimism hat! I'm remembering how some players who were rubbish under Buckle/McGhee came good under Ward once he'd brought some order and routine to the place. I'm thinking/hoping that we might see a better Gill and Kenneth......and I'd argue that Brunt, Clucas and Woodards will be welcomed back. (Don't bring me down before even the first match! )
Well done JW! I think our best signing has probably just made our second best signing! Can't wait for the season to start now!
Our loss is definitely your gain. JJ was never given a proper chance under our current manager, despite clearly being better one of our better midfielders. He was scoring for fun in the earlier preseason games and looked in the best shape he’s been in since he arrived from Watford in 2009, so I’m a little baffled why we let him go virtually on a free. I have no doubt that he’ll tear up trees in League Two. It would be great to see you lot again in League One for the 2014/15 season. There are a lot of strong candidates for promotion in the third division, so there’s a good chance you’d be playing your rivals Bristol City again if you can get yourselves promoted! With regards to interviews he’s always been camera shy and wary of the media; I wouldn’t confuse that with a lack of enthusiasm.
Thanks for your input mate I noticed JJ doesn't like camera action....he always looks miserable as sin Cheers, and hopefully we can get promotion with JJ. He has certainly made me feel a heck of a lot more confident in our team. Best player in league two by a country mile, and thankfully, he is ours
Great news, but knowing our luck O'Toole will be struck down by a long-term injury in the next few days! With him we might just stand a chance of reaching the play-offs, but the squad looks a little thin still.
well done matter of time, you cursed him. he is out injured for 6 months http://www.brfcforum.co.uk/index.php?/topic/110682-jjot-out-for-6-months-acl-strikes/
