Dunno there's a lot of apathy with the politicians in this country.

It's why it's good to have someone above politics to represent us on the world stage.

I guess it's a well worn debate with merits on both sides.

Prince Charles is currently being investigated for unpaid tax on his estate that we gave him.

The Queen charges us to go into houses that we own.

Prince Harry has no royal blood in him. He got his art teacher to submit work on his behalf in order to pass an exam, this was brushed under the carpet. He is unqualified for the position he was given in the army.

People always use money brought in by tourists as an excuse to keep the royal family. If we legalised all currently banned drugs in this country I dare say that would bring in a lot of money too.

France is THE most visited country in the world. Remind me again what they did with their monarchy.

He also shot two rare and endangered Red Kites on the Sandringham Estate. Allegedly. Somebody shot 'em and he had a gun....No-one else did. But also no-one was allowed to investigate the crime.

Yes, they beheaded Louis XIV then gained an "Emperor" in Napoleon Bonepart, which is pretty much similar to a King, then his nephews took over until the last Emperor went into Exile afer the Franco Prussian War.

Not very good. Just like their economy under an unpopular President.

I conceed there's a lot wrong with the Monarchy- taxes etc.

But they're integral in the UK's identity world wide.

Years (and years!) ago, I lived in the gatehouse of the villa that had belonged to Napoleon III, in Cap Ferrat, South of France.

That statement actually strengthens the argument for a republic.

You can vote out an unpopular president.

There are plenty of others- those were just the first 3 that came into my mind after a hard day's canvassing for the EDL.

What! You get time - with all the 'hard work' you claim to do? (I'll bet you also had time to read the 21 pages of squit in The Mail as well...)
