I see JW Henry has learnt from the Liverpool book of class. Disgrace of a club from top to bottom.

  2. The real disgrace of it is, that the Mousers think Henry was being witty.

Let's see how witty the Mousers think he's been when Goofy realises that 'Pool stitched him up, and that the break clause he thought he had in his contract is, in reality, not worth the paper it's written on.

It's a very difficult decision to make but I actually think I'd take Sewerezs word over anything Liverpool have to say so I'm sure the release clause is valid.

  4. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says striker Luis Suarez has been treated 'like a son' during his time at Anfield. Suarez, who wants to hold talks with Arsenal over a potential move to the London club, added: "He's very much a Liverpool player and over the course of the next couple of weeks we've got to get him up to speed. The support he has received from the supporters and the people of the city of Liverpool has been unrivalled. In this period of time he's missed a lot of games for the club through various reasons. The people have stood by him, like a son and really looked after him. Whatever happens in the coming weeks that will be in his mind because it's something you can never forget."

Blimey! How naive can a man be?

Goofy couldn't give a toss about the Mousers or Klanfield. To him, it was simply a stepping-stone, as will be Arsenal.

See what happens if suddenly Chelsea, PSG, Real, or Bayern come in for him. He'll be shooting Whinger the finger without a second thought.

  5. The clause is not a proper break clause, so I understand. It merely obliges the club to notify Goofy of the interest, and to permit him to talk to the interested party; it does not oblige 'Pool to sell the player.

    ...? Over the top, yes.

  7. In fact, I'm not even certain that the clause obliges the club to let Goofy speak to Arsenal. If 'Pool don't want to sell, there's nothing Goofy can do about it.

Mind you, I suspect that Goofy is about to put in an official transfer request to force the club chairman's hands. Let's see how 'Pool deal with a "Berbatov" moment.

It does give him incentive to hand in a transfer request, though...

Then he will void loyalty clauses.

Think the whole issue can be summarised, hmph.

    1) Suarez owes Liverpool for the PR nightmare caused by Evra and himself, the bite, various bad tackles/finger to Fulham fans/dives
    2) Fans don't mind Suarez leaving after the bite, as long as he is replaced
    3) Fans don't see why Arsenal is a big enough step up despite them having potential CL group stage football (and maybe a round beyond). If Suarez wants medals - which he merits, go elsewhere he must.
    4) Fans/management do not want to sell to a rival for 4th. Just as we would not want Suarez to join Spurs.
    5) If he continues to make a fuss and force a move to a PL side (as Madrid will not bid/will wait), he will be vilified - and deserve it far more than Torres.
    6) If he goes abroad the mood will be resignation, or apathy if he is adequately replaced.

The dark side is strong in this one.

Apparently Liverpool will be a "threat" if they keep Suarez, according to the press. I don't think any pun was intended.

A threat to whom exactly? I leant so far over the edge trying to look down to find them last season, I nearly fell off. How many points adrift were they?

11 points off fourth I believe. From first, much.

With a better start, a credible challenge for CL football is achievable; that is what fans want.

    Thank you, young one.

Much work there is to be done.

Perhaps losing Suarez but gaining Eriksen + Soldado would help.

The Mousers need to know their place and let Sewerez and all his baggage join the Goons for £40m, hopefully he will be more trouble than he is worth at the Degenerates.

The Mouse board are demanding silly money for a good but over rated player that brings endless trouble, £40m is very good money for this Rat considering £30m - £35m is probably a fair price.

Got to chuckle at the Mousers playing hard ball, trying to talk and act like they are still a powerhouse club.

Which sold 88k then 95k worth of seats within a week on tour <ok>

'Sleeping giant' is the phrase, yes.

What should the club do? Bend over? How will we improve if we do not fight to keep top players or receive top prices?

    Silly comment.

Could work out better over the season considering Suarez's discipline + desire for the ball to be played through him at all times. Coutinho will be our big player this season, the force is strong in him. Eriksen could rotate with him, Gerrard and Henderson... or Coutinho could play out left and float around.
