I know we have not finished bring in players yet. but so far non have come in under 25. young players on low wages was what we were promised. (to be fair the contract thing seems to be sorted) is it just to much of a gamble in the position we are in. i am sure tony wants us to go straight up. i just hoping now we have sorted the defence out we can get some younger attacking players
We are having to buy a team based on the managers view to get to the top tier Any young player who is good is a lot of money It didn't work last time but its the only way like ours can do it ... We have no youth players good enough We are in trouble
Its very worrying. We are on another crash and burn cycle, whats the point? Wrong strategy all aimed at making Harold's last hurrah a success, but leaving us no better off than 2 years ago.
DT, you have gone from the eternal optimist under Hughes to the prophet of doom under Harry. I hope you are wrong again.
We have at least three youngsters that could play in the Championship, Michael Harriman, Max Ehmer(?) and Frankie Sutherland also Mo Shariff. That side of things are looking good IMO.
Am i right in that you do not have to register younger players in the squad so the ypung lads who are promising could still play a part in the season, I would expect the 4 mentioned above to be involved at some stage, it's just that we seam to have more than our fair share of oldies...... As for DT I'm sure the old optimistic version will re-appear around 2nd August.........
Without causing havoc...Adel, Hoillett, Remy & Traore are still young arent they Maybe they wil play a part in the up coming season. Could be Harrys "Master Plan "!! Should have kept Sterling as well as DJ.
It will lads I did say that I had to wait until the end of the season to exhaust my feelings ... You can count on me after kick off to get behind the team and pour out only positive energy Don't forget I love this squad they are good players Mrs DT just said about Redknapp that she is surprised he stayed I am always wrong about football and will meet Harold 50/50 as we all should but he did himself no favours taking about QPR as them Ego is a problem
Have you been genuinely paying attention to the youth players? (real question) Some of them actually seem like they might be able to play at least at Championship level if given a chance, maybe. I don't think you need to be completely lacking in hope for them.
But we were told by David MacIntyre, who does seem pretty close to the club, that none of the youngsters went on the Devon trip because they aren't good enough. Though a few went to Austria which seems to contradict this.
