My point, Danny, is that Roberge and Brown can do the job very well and aren't merely stand-ins. Roberge looks a natural. Are you letting the fact that he's also a CB lead you to think he isn't a full-back? What can't he do? He looks quick and comfortable in position on the left side. Would you rather have someone who is a 'specialist' even if they aren't as good as him?! The only difference I see is Baines can ONLY play full-back. If that's the specialist we crave then I don't get it.

Thats the point mate, we only need a full back not a "jack of all trades" which we have had in various positions for the last 7 seasons.

Anyway I think you may be a bit blinded by his quality, youtube is not a good way to judge a player, lets see how he gets on next season haha until you watch him in a full 90 mins theres no way to know if he can play there but from the words of PDC this morning " I want 2 full backs".

Yeah you're probably right I remember watching a YT video of Teemu Tainio and he looked a world-beater! Suffice to say, I'm confident he'll be a good player for us, LB or CB! Enjoy the game, if it goes ahead!
