I've heard it will be called "Superior German Inbred Twat I". Seriously, why do people still blindly support the Monarchy, especially this dynasty. There hasn't been a legitimate Royal dynasty in England since the House of York.

Why do people 'blindly' hate the Monarchy?

Because they are selfish and look down upon the rest of the country, like I previously stated, the last legitimate Monarch was Richard III of the House of York, if I could, I would support them, but these "fake" Royals attract an irritating amount of media attention. Countries in the modern era don't need Monarchs anymore, they are useless.

Why do you assume that? Because you're a traditionalist Brit and only your opinion is correct and represents the rest of the British people?

    Thankyou <ok>

I saw HRH the Prince of Wales and his delightful consort Lady Camilla Parker-Bowles not being selfish and not looking down upon the rest of the country today on Look North tonight at Bugthorpe, Brid, Burton Fleming and With. Mingling and chatting with ordinary folk and their kids, it looked a happy and successful day for all concerned.

What channel were you watching ? Morning Star 1?

The Prince of Wales travels the world and engages with the people who he visits.

His Trust and charitable otrganisations benefit the country.

Prince William is a seek and rescue helicopter pilot.

Prince Harry served in the Armed Forces in Afghan.

Really looking down on the people of the UK there.

You have your representitives you can vote for at every General Election. We're sorry there aren;t any good ones to pick from, but at least you have the choice.

The Royals bring in £1billion to the UK's coffers alone. Much needed i'd say. All that would go for a burton if we packed the monarchy in.

I don't agree with all this wall to wall coverage from the media.

I seriously doubt you can truly qualify that figure (if so, by all means link me up to the watertight proof).

Also, if the royal line ended, would tourism simply dry up?

Fair enough, if you want to admire this family, just strikes me as weird.

Or you the type who loves other ‘celebs’ and their kids?

It's not just tourism, it's PR as well where the money comes from. It was on the news tonight. I've mainly nicked what he said.

I'm not a staunch royalist. I just think they do a good job for the UK.

No, not me, but evidently it does millions of others.

The bloated coverage was **** but see the other reasons I listed for that.

Contrasts with the very bleak economic and social news that we have had in recent weeks (housing crisis, immigration, national debt etc)

I admire people who do a good job too: nurses, doctors, teachers, workers, good Samaritans, people on the breadline fighting to keep their families in food through working some ****ty job for decreasing wages. And although I do appreciate the two aren’t mutually exclusive, my admiration for these unsung individuals somewhat dwarfs any admiration for ‘work’ by our monarchy.

I’m not doubting your sincerity, or trying to patronise, but don’t you think the news sometimes fibs and exaggerates to suit its own agenda too?

I get the reasons mate. Just wondered if anyone who was pleased/delighted/happy by this news would explain it to me.

The news? Exaggerating and fibbing to suit it's own agenda?

I find that very hard to believe... <whistle>

If it was a Republic you'd still be voting for a Toff anyway.

Also a traditional British tv/media custom, a bit like Christmas, when the news becomes soft-centred, mushy and dumbed-down.

We get the same every 'heatwave' or snowfall.
