"John Ward was on the Radio this morning and said he was considering spending the JJO'T money on funding 2 loan players instead?! Please tell me this is bullsh*t? We need that midfield presence it is the most important thing."

    From the OS.

If this is true then they had better be good loan players!

At last! Walk away from the negotiations and make it obvious that JJ is not our only option.
If Colchester are interested in getting rid of JJ, then it will be for them to call JW back and move more quickly to close a deal before JW spends his cash elsewhere.

perhaps we should sign JJ on loan plus another what is wrong with our budget most of the players are youngsters and surely are not that expensive to sign I can only think that Magoo paid over the odds for a poor scottish defender and a misfiring scottish striker from City to name just two.

We need at least 3 new players so I say spend it where necessary the whole JJOT saga is getting extremely tedious now. We already have three injuries and spending all the remaining money on one player is madness if we get a few more injuries then it will be season over. If we can get JJOT on loan again then that will be excellent meaning we could possibly bring in a couple more players with him.

Seamge, I really reckon without JJOT in the squad, our season is as good as over anyway (unless we possibly end up in a relegation battle again!)

IMO I still don't think we will finish any better then 10th anyway even if JJOT signed the squad is just to inexperienced and in our case lately to small.

Good news! (thanks Shiny - I don't do twatter)

I still think we should pursue him.

My dear fellow gasheads who reckon we've only got a bunch of kids to start the season should remember that we've still got Mildenhall, McChrystal, Kenneth, Smith, Brown, Clarkson, Harrold and the young but experienced Captain Parkes.

It's not all doom and gloom - if we get JJOT I still think we have a decent chance of promotion, despite our ridiculous injury list. <ok>

I'm still optimistic that we'll do ok.
By the way..........how does Ali Durden 'get away' with posting all this stuff when
managers etc are meant to trust him as a local journalist?
