Moyes the Bartender deserves no sympathy for what he did to Homer in that episode 'Flaming Moes' <grr>

I don't know if we have to go into too much analysis to know that Arsenal will be better than Spurs. Wenger has consistently beaten Spurs, I don't see why, now that he has more resources at his disposal, he is going to slip up.

I know we have some people panicking, but there really is no reason to yet. Generally speaking every year that Wenger hasn't lost players we are substantially better than the year before. Trying to guess which player is going to have a breakthrough year is a fun exercise but I'm fairly confident there will be at least one, possibly more.

Even if we don't pick up the superstar people are craving I still think we will finish above Spurs. We have finished above you when we played Bendtner and Denilson, Silvestre, Senderos, Santos and Squilacci (No more S signing please). We have stayed ahead of you playing with Vermaelen at LB and Djourou at RB and Gervinho as center forward. We have beaten you when our first squad injury list was in double figures for 3 months and we were playing mostly our youth team.

If Wenger can beat Spurs with all that going against him, how much better will he do now?

Technically I would say that we handed your last win to you on a plate with some ****ing awful defending. But the silver lining was that it finally made us step it up in defence and go on our great end of season run that saw us overhaul you - again. So in a way we have to thank you for that defeat for inspiring us to remind you that your rightful place is below us. <ok>

Liverpool generally finish above Everton, City spent a long, long time below United. Things can change. At the moment the fact is your squad marginally out performed our squad so it's by no means a forgone conclusion that you'll finish above us again.

You've always had resources available to you according to Wenger and the board so no wonder not every Arsenal fan is taking the news of having a big budget to spend as a given it will be spent and that you'll improve.

Believe what you want though, I don't really care. I was just pointing out the problems in your reasoning behind it :)

    I haven't finished...

Every year, at the start of the season, we are told we are going to drop out of the top 4, we are told Spurs will go into the top 4. We are shown analysis why Spurs have a better team, a deeper squad, a better defence, a better attack. We are shown statistics showing that almost every player on our team is worse than their opposite number on Spurs.

We are told they now have a better manager, a better team spirit and stronger mental approach. We are told that our team are kids, mentally weak, inexperienced and that our manager has lost it, is cheap and that he no longer knows how to win. Yet every year we score more goals, let in less goals, create more chances and finish higher up in the league. And even if we don't win anything we finish above Spurs.

So you will have to forgive me, if I just take a pass on it this year. I'm fed up with even our own fans negativity, but I just don't see why I have to give your crap a moment more attention.

We will finish above you just like we have for countless years, (and I really mean I cant be bothered to count them), and it doesn't take a whole lot of reasoning to work it out.

There is a misplaced arrogance among Arsenal fans when it comes to discussing Spurs. Yes, historically and recently we have dumped on them 90% of the time but there is no doubt they are improving every season and are showing both shrewdness and ambition at the same time. If Arsenal do not change our ways in the very new future then eventually we will be bit in the ass.

To be fair, we've been ****ting on them from a great height for nearly two decades, not just recently.

We've probably had some of our most difficult seasons in the last few years and Spurs their best and they still can't catch us.

    It's not arrogance, it's simple observations <ok>

What does the last 2 decades matter? It has no influence on the future. We haven't won a trophy in 8 years yet the majority of people on here are convinced we will change that next season.

Of course it matters, winning (or losing) breeds a culture. Look at Chelsea or United

Of course winning is important for the team. You think winning nothing will improve the morale, confidence or level of the players?
