Billy, I don't think our efforts (or rather Rodgers & Ayre's efforts) are any more or less shambolic than any other club's. Everything we try to do has an impact somewhere along the food chain. Things said today can look very silly tomorrow and your hung out to dry by everybody if you try and keep stum. At least this season we start off with a better squad than we finished last season with - and that's more than a of of sides can claim.
i didn't present anything as fact. i presented facts which are clealr in the public domain (when and how much we bought and sold for) and presented on hypothesis. I even stated i await more evidence of if we buy or not... take it how you want but don't put words in my mouth.

oh and.... 1. I've no issue with how rodgers has handled the suarez sage. suarez started it and rodgers has been consistent in message and protecting the club. 2. I only expect non misleading communication. simple. not all. you are talking about the end result on theplaying staff there and i am talking about the methods used. In the carroll case the playing effect was terrible on us.. in the mingolet case we might even improve.. the method used to reac the result seems in both cases, to me, to have produced the same byproduct... LFc look mad.
We're discussing transfers and transfer policy so I don't see that we're far off-topic, tbh. Occasionally the debate brings up tangential matters but they're related imo. If we need to keep it to pure reportage of transfers then all discussion will have to go elsewhere. I think then we'll just get too many threads on more or less the same subject.

No offence Red But MITO is a respected poster on our boards and deserves a little respect. You seem to be trying to push him in to an argument here, no need for it.
just expressing my opinion. I've just quoted you some articles where is pretty clear rodgers says one thing while hes doing another entirely. If having an opinion is twisting facts to you fine... that's your opinion but if it gets personal to me i'll call you on it. that's comment merely refers to 3 things. first reina didn't travel to the camp. second rodgers told us very clearly, and shockingly why he didn't travel. and 3rd it was shocking because up til that point his message was entirely different. In one there was competition for places i nthe second the wages are too high so he's got to go. I make the point that its not the first time he's come out with things that have been like this. Reina is not sold, he is not even loaned it seems and now the story is going to run. I refer to the carroll one as rodgers made it really clear where the player stood and that instantly triggers a media storm.
No last year we shipped Carroll out on loan when we didn't need to and brought in Borini who performed awfully. We shipped out Spearing on loan and brought in Allen who performed awfully. See a pattern here?
Think he meant "tolerated". Seriously, we're all LFC fans, we all have different opinions on how we are, and should be, going about things. We can all express those opinions without turning it into a slanging match.
and my opinion is actually different to yours billy as I think its ok for reina to go and ok for carroll to go if the manager wants it to be that way, result will speak in the end. positively or negatively. The issue i have is with not openness but honestly. you can do it privately but when you sell a story cos you fear the fans then when it does come out you end up in the same scenario. I also do not agree with a loan btw but that's different again. anyway...... kenny bought adam, downing, carroll (along with comolli) I didn't like any of them but it doesn't stop me every game wishing for the win and the positive results. I think i can a) be free to disagree with the decision or b) be free to disagree with the method or c) even look at the pattern of facts and make a supposition and the reason being its all just about opinion and sharing/discussing said facts. how about Red pheonix you offer me something to change my mind? have a debate?

Not really no. Rodgers hasn't 'shipped' Reina, Reina shipped himself by making it clear we are not his future. So we've said ok and got his replacement. Yes the loaning thing I don't agree with etc but what do you do if you aren't getting bids or interest in him other than this loaning offer from Nappoli to get his wages off the books. I don't know, this whole thing seems to be blowing up here when I just don't see what all the fuss is about. At least we have a replacement in place and playing.
