A fitness exercise. An embarrassing result but there were some glimpses of potential and it was clear the lads were a bit rusty. Zaha does look exciting, albeit very raw at the moment. I'd like to see how Moyes can nurture him.
You have no idea quite how laughable... He's the black Maradona
he's got pace and he can finish, he could be a good player if he had any sort of football brain instead of the turnip he has.
Moyes got the defeats out of the way The friendlies and preseason matches are nowhere comparable to the prem ones. More exhibition than anything else. I wouldn't mind us not winning the title this season if it meant us having half the domination Ferguson produced subsequently. Chelsea under pressure to deliver this season. Will they?
You think we are under more pressure than United? Behave. We scrapped third last year and have bought a couple of promising players but no major signings yet. Most won't have us as favourites for the title. United as champions (and coming off the back of Fergie) and City (having spent so much) are under more presure than us. Obviously friendlies aren't the same as competative matches but I'd sooner be winning them than not.
Out of the top 3 we are under the least pressure. Unlike City and United, our squad isn't at it's peak. We are only going to get better. Pellegrini has been told he has to deliver a trophy a season, Moyes is tasked with succeeding Fergie and will have to deliver to appease the gloryhunters. Mourinho walks in with an unrivalled reputation and history of winning things at this level, so if his first season isn't a success, the media won't be in his case as much. Pellegrini and Moyes in particular will be destroyed in the press if their respective clubs end up potless.
