Bruce seems really excited by him, but I haven't seen him play personally. He is apparently Mendy quick, which is something because I've yet to see a quicker player in a City shirt than our Bernard.
Unfortunately Egypt is not a rich country so I don't see huge merchandising opportunities. The Far East is where the money is, but I don't see us signing any players from out that way. It doesn't always guarantee making money either.
Ah well, either way he's just been given permission by Evian to fly to England to see the set up and meet the higher ups. Guess he's on his way here.
Slowly getting there..... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...ed-to-open-talks-over-16m-switch-8727528.html
I wonder how many times the media are going to rehash this story as breaking news. I've seen the exact same article, with the exact same quotes about 10 times today from various different outlets. A bit of creative writing wouldn't go a miss!
Sorry Tiger Steve, but that deal seemed to have been cut and dry well before SB arrived here. I think it was pushed onto him by someone higher up to be honest.
I thought I had seen an interview with SB when he said he'd been monitoring NP when he was manager at Sunderland?
The one you're thinking of was against Boro, but wasn't it a King penalty which was won by either Geo or Cousin being offside? I remember it fairly well because we were offside a ridiculous number of times that game and when the big punt went forward I said straight away he's offside there and didn't excited about the chance at all as I was so sure of it. Took me ages to accept the lino had actually given it onside AND awarded us a penalty.
Aluko and Jahraldo-Martin are not strikers. They are wide men by trade. But yes we will have good depth. A 100% fit Fryatt and Gedo will score goals in the PL. Stoke City. As for DQPR they will do will to land one of those from that list ^^^ of names. He is a work in progress still. Far too many people quick to judge. NP is better suited to the PL imo. Nope. It was Mendy. He had a brain fart with that. Yes he was.
