    Anyone care?

Obviously if we pump you I'll be taking the pish out of you Nigels but the fixture doesn't excite me as much as it did maybe 20 years ago.

Both teams are pretty ****e at the moment.

It's lost the excitement and prestige it once had for a range of reasons. Back in the day (late 70s / 80s) it was one of the only games you'd ever get to see live on the TV and both teams were relatively evenly matched (though i also seem to remember a time when you lot were much better than us). I don't think the FA takes it that seriously now either which is a shame - I still say it was a scandal that it wasn't the first international game at the new Wembley given it's the oldest one in the world. I'd also rather see us play you on a more regular basis than someone like France or Germany anyway as it's always a good laugh and i think it was arrogant and dismissive of the English FA to shelve it - can only speak for myself but suspect it wasn't what most fans wanted. I guess they got a bit fed up with the trouble too although leaving a couple of games aside it was never really that bad.

I'll watch it and hope the atmosphere is decent enough for them to consider resurrecting it as a regular fixture.

    Probably not.

Don't think the tele has rights to England friendlies at Wembley.

It'll probably be on ITV Nigelland but not on STV as they're tight-fisted bastards.

You're more than welcome. we can try and recreate the spirit of the 80s when the game meant something - so getting drunk on Merrydown and watching red triangle films afterwards is the order of the day!

I'd rather it wasn't happening. The Tartan Army seem incapable of coming down to London and not making ****s of themselves. I don't suppose the team will do much better. I don't see any positives to this match.

Hopefully they will all die on the pitch.

    Ritual seppuku.

And then we can concentrate on the tennis.
