Strange acquisition. I shall wait and see how he is deployed and how effective he is.
Hopefully there's a plan in place - so if he signs.. Welcome and play with your head and your heart (and forget your pocket!)

Not sure where all this is heading if I'm honest

Adel & mackie out of favour

Sign Henry & Dunne - Christ why did we ever get rid of gorkss

Persist with Zamora & AJ? Should have signed Rhodes

We'll be a bunch of no talent 30yd hoofball cloggers at this rate

Signing him doesn't mean that he starts every, or even many, games: HR is building a squad. Remember Martin "mad dog" Allen? He was pretty inept as a footballer, but we never lost the midfield with him around. Perhaps this is a good signing, even though I still doubt it myself.

We haven't got rid of Barton yet. If he and Henry decide that, yes, they really don't like each other, the atmosphere in the dressing room will make last season look like a love-in.

Dunne & henry hardly the most mobile of defenders. Can see us being skinned by fast wingers

With a less than commanding midfield - park, faurlin, jenas & granero - we're hardly giving much cover to the grandad brigade , unless of course Barton is staying but I have no idea where all of this is going

Henry is a holding midfielder. Suk Young and Danny Simpson are more than capable of handling fast wingers.

Homage to an outstanding and totally apt metaphor with Abigail's Party.

To make you feel better, I am attempting to work from home with wife and 2 kids present. Also happening - mad puppy Stan's natural pissing and ****ting zone is full of builders rubble and splinters as our attempt to remodel bathrooms now requires a steel to be inserted to prop up a roof (most of which is missing as we dodge the thunderstorms) with no visible means of support. A surprise expensive present not originally budgeted for.

On the plus side the builders are good blokes and have got my 17 year old son labouring for them, recycling my money in an imaginative way, to someone who definitively can't be trusted with it.
