In the money-soaked eyes of Mike Ashley, there is no such thing as 'bad publicity' and we lurch from one bad appointment to another...

Mick Harford turned us down for Millwall, that's not a bad thing as I consider him pretty useless. The thing to consider here is that Ashley has further made Newcastle United a total joke club with his recent appointments.

    Fact.

Very disappointed with the state of things up til now. We're dithering and adding hopeless/pointless levels of management proven not to work in the English system (and more so when buffoons like JFK are installed), while other clubs are making inroads into the market early and getting the serious business done.

I'm not looking forward to next season at all, and in truth I'm not looking forward to the next month or two of transfer activity.

My natural confidence, in the face of the last season and more importantly followed by the inactivity of the close season, has left the building. I've been wrong before mind.

Come off it Joker, your club has been a laughing stock for years, every time you look like progressing it just turns to worms.
The only fans that take it seriously are yourselves, to everyone else in the country your club is a joke, guaranteed to give us a laugh every season, and it gets better every time.

Well if you're own team isn't ever going to give you some entertainment, surely you should be grateful? <laugh>

This is what concerns me most. JK has been all over the news, but no incoming deals.

Can anybody name (without researching it now) the people responsible for sealing transfers at every other Prem club? Probably not!

Are they in the news working their self promotion PR machine? No!

    Are they completing transfers? Yes!

It all seems a bit mad looking in from the outside, most clubs have players targeted many months before the transfer window opens so I don't understand the wisdom of this appointment what so ever.

If Newcastle compete with the likes of Swansea there should only be one outcome, and that's the player going to you lot, Graham Carr has proved to be good at what he does so having the likes of JFK and harford are a total irrelevance IMO.

Don't know what Ashley is doing but he ain't a dummy so must have some kind of agenda. <ok>

That's rich coming from a Mackem!

The only team to finish below us without getting relegated?

At least we don't employ a fascist as Manager. <ok>

I keep thinking this too. But I also keep thinking we are only 2 or 3 signings away from a very decent squad (with no Europa games to worry about). We just need JK to sort out some decent transfers.

A lot will depend on luck with injuries. We had an awful time last year and had too many key players missing for too many games. With a virtually full squad a some good strikers added, we could have a very good season. But there are lots of IFs, BUTs and MAYBEs involved.

I wouldn't disagree that Pardew is a pretty useless manager, but at least he isn't a Nazi-loving fascist who will throw 'controversial salutes' at the drop-of-a-hat.

I realise your wumming, but I'm really bored and cant help myself.

I travel a lot around the UK working, and one thing I've found out about football fans everywhere is that the majority don't particularly give two f**** what is happening with other clubs, other than on the pitch. Odd fans will come on forums like this one crossing boards but not to a great extent. They are more concerned with their own club than any other.
The exception being high profile players and a clubs Closest Rivals.

That is why the majority of p*** taking on our boards is at the expense of each other.

Not sure about guaranteed to give you a laugh each season, it was a great laugh we gave you in 10/11, what was it 5-1.
11/12 0-1 at SoSh and we finish 5th, 12/13 crap season from us and we still finished above you + QF of Europa League. Remember playing in Europe do you.
Much laughter all round from SAFC fans if you remember. Just as well you beat us at SJP or you were down.

We are 2 or 3 players away from having a good team, ok we're impatient a bit at the moment but that will pass when the players come in.
If I was you I would be worried about your own, having to bring in virtually a full new team like your Fascist Manager is doing, I would be more than a bit concerned.

    Like I say i'm bored.

Your first team is still pretty good, but it's obvious from last season that you need more depth. You don't beef up the bench and a couple of injuries/suspensions will see you suffer badly.

Harford wasn't the answer any more than was JFK. It's signings you need and sharpish...

in my mind we need at least a winger and a striker then things start looking promising, how many you reckon Sunderland need? I must admit, despite not having heard of alot of the players you're in for I'm still worried for the derbies this year, Giaccherini seems like quite the coup
