He's up there, for sure. Thought Mulumbu stood out more though.

My reason is simply that I don't think he's a good fit. He's a top class player, but not the kind we should be after, especially if we only want a couple more players. That's about it.

Lukaku is up there, but RVP and Ba were better due to the fact that they were ruthless in front of goal (RVP's shocking penalty apart).

Been told Frazer Richardson is up in Middlesbrough to complete a move.

Not really that Saints related now, but there's little going on.

    Good luck Frazer, decent move.

Quite a shame that Chaplow gets a fanfare and showered with adulation for leaving while Frazer, who was actually good for us, is an afterthought. Best of luck to him.

Agreed. Frazer is an excellent footballer, however he was one of those unfortunate types who was always getting injured. It blighted his whole career.

I hope he has a good time wherever he goes and that somehow his body lets him play 30-40 games in a season.

I agree but you need to check the stats to realise that he actually made more appearances than Chaplow. Got on with his job quietly whilst Chaplow was perhaps more of a character on and off the pitch that endeared him to the fans. But both showed remarkable skill in gaining first team status from Division 1 to Premier league. Of course they were both bought when we were in League 1 because they had Premier League experience with other clubs so we were fairly confident they would survive the meteoric rise. At the end of the day, we're now moving on to a new level so they will struggle to hold down a regular spot. They are both the sort of honest pros that would prefer to play regularly as opposed to just taking a big wage packet so good luck to them both.

Thanks for your sevice Frazier and the best of luck in the future.

Yes but Lukaku is 19! I think he couldn't fit more perfectly.

Couldn't agree more. Strikers that can play on their own up front and score 20 odd goals a season are such a rarity. He brings pace and power, is young and fits the bill beautifully if you ask me. I'd love him here if we could sort a permanant transfer (unlikely).

Still think Guidetti has the potential o be a top class striker and, given that Man City are signing players left right and centre I think a deal could be done.

Don't particularly want a striker on loan though - would need to be a purchase for me. Rather give Mayuka and co a chance otherwise.

That wasn't my point. I was debating Olly's view that Lukaku was the best player to visit St Mary's this season.

Unlikely isn't the word for it. Downright impossible is more like it.

Oh man... he's so good I would seriously consider swapping Schneiderlin for him. I don't understand why those Chelsea fans don't worship him...he's Drogba but young.
