The official Fantasy Football League is up and running again. I have set up a League so all Gasheads or City fans are welcome to join. It would be good if we had a lot from both sides join the League. Here is the link fantasy.premierleague.com/‎ to join. Once you have registered (for free), to join the League, you need to click on leagues and join a league. You will need a code which is: 109095-32045 for our league. You get £100 million to spend on 15 players: 2 GK, 5 DF, 5 MF & 3 CF. You make a team of 11 selecting what formation you want and the other players go on your bench. So if a player from your starting 11 dont play in the game week then your sub takes his place if your sub played, so hopefully you dont lose out on points. You get points for goals scored, assists & clean sheets. You also get 1 point for playing 59 mins and 2 points if the player plays 60 mins or more. You get points deducted if you get a player booked or sent off. The players you pick has a valuation which can rise or fall pending on form. For example you could buy Walcott for £9.5 million and if he is in great form his price will rise to £10.5 million. Then you can sale him for £10.5 million then buy Mata who costs £10.5 million. Therefore your squad valuation can rise. But if you have a player who dont hardly play then his valuation will drop meaning if you want to replace him you have less money to do so meaning your team valuation would drop. You get 1 free transfer per game week. Then its 4 points deducted for anymore transfers you make. If you dont use the free transfer then it carries over to the next week so you can get 2 free transfers. However you cant carry over anymore than 2 free transfers. You get 2 wildcards in the season, 1 which you can use any time after the 1st game week up to the transfer window in Jan. This allows you to change (transfer) as many of your players as you want for free so you dont get points deduction. So if you selected a crap squad, you have a life line to change it without costing you points. Your 2nd wildcard is available during the transfer window in Jan. You are only allowed a max of 3 players for a team. You can also design your own kit which is cool. All the rules are on there to read and is very simple to follow. You can only join a League once you have picked a team. So get cracking guys. Its unlimited free transfer from now all the way up to game 1. Any team changes must be done usually by 11:30am on a Saturday. If you do changes after this time then the changes wont take effect until the following week. Hope that makes sense Get going guys
yep. still early days. people waiting until closer to the time maybe. if it ends up just the 2 of us, up to you if you want to carry on with it just the 2 of us. i can end the league as 2 is a bit poor. but if you want to carry on then im up for it
great stuff shiny seems to be having issues his end in setting up a team. dont know if you can help him out??
No im all sorted now Ill have you all know I won the school cup back in year 9 for this MANS ON DIS TING
You are only allowed a max of 3 players for a team You can also design your own kit which is cool. I would rather be able to select 11 players as that would give some sort of chance of getting some points.
it was meant to say max 3 players from any team. like 3 players from arsenal for example. like i said earlier in the details, you select 15 players in total.
thats ok then, im not telling you because that means i wont end bottom here you go.... the rules.... Selecting Your Initial Squad Squad Size: Select a fantasy football squad of 15 players, consisting of: 2 Goalkeepers, 5 Defenders, 5 Midfielders & 3 Forwards. Budget: The total value of your initial squad must not exceed £100 million. Players per team: You can select up to 3 players from a single Premier League team. Managing Your Team From your 15 player squad: Select 11 players. Your team can play in any formation providing that 1 goalkeeper, at least 3 defenders and at least 1 forward are selected at all times (532, 541, 442, 433, 343, 352, All your points for the Gameweek will be scored by these 11 players, however if one or more doesn't play they may be automatically substituted from the remaining 4 players from your squad. Select the order for your Bench: Your substitutes provide cover for unforeseen events like injuries and postponements by automatically replacing starting players who don't play in a Gameweek. Based on the order you assign, automatic substitutions are processed at the end of the Gameweek as follows: If your Goalkeeper plays 0 minutes, he will be substituted by your replacement Goalkeeper if he plays. If any of your outfield players play 0 minutes in the Gameweek, they will be substituted and the substitutes who come into the team will be based on the order you assign - as along as it doesn't break the formation rules (eg. If your starting team has 3 defenders and one of these dont play, a midfielder/forward cannot be put on as you cant be left with just 2 defenders). Selecting a Captain and a Vice-Captain: From your starting 11 you nominate a captain and a vice-captain. Your captain's score will be doubled. If your captain dont play, your vice-captain will automatically be selected and he will get double points. However if your vice-captain also dont play then no other player gets double. Making Transfers After selecting your squad you can buy and sell players in the transfer market. Unlimited transfers can be made at no cost until your first deadline (list of deadlines recorded at the bottom of this comment) After your first deadline you will receive 1 free transfer each Gameweek. Each additional transfer you make in the same Gameweek will deduct 4 points from your total score at the start of the next Gameweek. So if you make 3 transfers in 1 game week, 1st transfer is free, the following 2 transfer will cost you 4 points each so you will already be 8 points down that week. If you do not use your free transfer, you are able to make an additional free transfer the following Gameweek as that free transfer carries over to the next week. If you do not use this saved free transfer in the following Gameweek, it will be carried over until you do. You can never have more than 2 free transfers. Wildcards: A Wildcard allows you to make unlimited free transfers throughout a Gameweek. You can use up to 2 a season. Playing a wildcard will remove any points deductions from transfers already made in the same Gameweek. One wildcard can be played at any time. The January Wildcard can only be used after Gameweek 20 starts (1 Jan 11:30) until Gameweek 23 ends (1 Feb 11:30); as the January wildcard isn't available until after the Gameweek 20 deadline, the earliest these transfers will be active is Gameweek 21. When playing a Wildcard, any saved free transfers will be lost. You will be back to the usual 1 free transfer the following Gameweek. Player Prices: Player prices change during the season dependent on the popularity of the player in the transfer market. Player prices do not change until the season starts. The price shown on your transfers page is a player's selling price. This selling price may be less than the player's current purchase price as a sell-on fee of 50% (rounded up to the nearest £0.1m) will be applied on any profits made on that player. For example, if you buy a player for £8.3m and when you transfer him his price is £9.0m, his selling price will be £8.6m. Points Scoring During the season, your fantasy football players will be allocated points based on their performance in the Premier League. Action / Points For playing up to 60 minutes / 1 For playing 60 minutes or more / 2 For each goal scored by a goalkeeper or defender / 6 For each goal scored by a midfielder / 5 For each goal scored by a forward / 4 For each goal assist / 3 For a clean sheet by a goalkeeper or defender / 4 For a clean sheet by a midfielder / 1 For every 3 shot saves by a goalkeeper / 1 For each penalty save / 5 For each penalty miss / -2 Bonus points for the best players in a match / 1-3 For every 2 goals conceded by a goalkeeper or defender / -1 For each yellow card / -1 For each red card / -3 For each own goal / -2 Clean sheets: A clean sheet is awarded for not conceding a goal whilst on the pitch and playing at least 60 minutes. If a player has been substituted when a goal is conceded this will not effect any clean sheet bonus. Red Cards: If a player receives a red card, they will continue to be penalised for goals conceded by their team. Red card deductions include any points deducted for yellow cards. Assists: Assists are awarded to the player from the goal scoring team, who makes the final pass before a goal is scored. An assist is awarded whether the pass was intentional (that it actually creates the chance) or unintentional (that the player had to dribble the ball or an inadvertent touch or shot created the chance). If an opposing player touches the ball after the final pass before a goal is scored, significantly altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist is awarded. Rebounds: If a shot on goal is blocked by an opposition player, is saved by a goalkeeper or hits the woodwork, and a goal is scored from the rebound, then an assist is awarded. Own Goals: If a player shoots or passes the ball and forces an opposing player to put the ball in his own net, then an assist is awarded. Penalties and Free-Kicks: In the event of a penalty or free-kick, the player earning the penalty or free-kick is awarded an assist if a goal is directly scored, but not if he takes it himself, in which case no assist is given. Finalising Assists: Assist points awarded by Opta within Fantasy Premier League are calculated using additional stats which may differ from other websites. For example, some other sites would not show an assist where a player has won a penalty. For the avoidance of doubt, points awarded in-game are subject to change up until one hour after the final whistle of the last match of any given day. Once the points have all been updated on that day, no further adjustments to points will be made. Bonus Points: A new Bonus Points System (BPS) has been created which utilises a range of statistics to create a BPS score for every player. The three best performing players in each match will be awarded bonus points. 3 points will be awarded to the highest scoring player, 2 to the second best and 1 to the third. Examples of how bonus point ties will be resolved are as follows: If there is a tie for first place, Players 1 & 2 will receive 3 points each and Player 3 will receive 1 point. If there is a tie for second place, Player 1 will receive 3 points and Players 2 and 3 will receive 2 points each. If there is a tie for third place, Player 1 will receive 3 points, Player 2 will receive 2 points and Players 3 & 4 will receive 1 point each.
