Rodgers said: “There is no player bigger than Liverpool Football Club. That is something we are very strong on and this is something we will control. Read more: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...pool-about-Brendan-Rodgers.html#ixzz2ZrqiEzys The sad truth is - Suarez IS bigger than the club atm, and that is exactly why they are so desperate to hold on to him.
See this is what I'm on about. It might make sense to you as you're making it up on the spot but it's all very tenuous based on cliches about settling in. Was Cazorla struggling at the start of the season? No he started it as well as anyone, he looked a top player from the start. Did Podolski drastically improve in the last couple of months? No and Giroud barely did anything by the end of the season. So who was settling in? Walcott with his occasional appearance up front, two of your defenders playing together? Give over Precisely. You can always come up with arguments to suit your point and even sound convincing but it's nothing more than guess work. You had to win your last 4 games or you'd finish below us. We ran you close. And we lost King, Modric, VDV and (effectively) Kaboul from our first 11 last season, we all have to deal with these things. Who's assuming that? All I've said is that people's reasoning for Arsenal being better than Spurs next season is flawed. If I was to take a punt at this point I'd say we'll finish close to eachother again but that's all it is. Bale might struggle to play as well next season as much as Suarez(or whoever you end up buying) might, or Bale might break his leg on the first day of the season, or maybe one of your best players would. As for young players, we've got Caulker, Walker, Sigurdsson, Townsend and Rose if we're only counting those that are close to the first team and have regular Premier League experience. On top of that we've recently signed Chadli and Holtby who are young and improving. Sorry for the long post
Couldn't actually be bothered to read much of that after you said 'making it up'. So instead when you actually finish above us, I'll take some of your points seriously, until then it's just more wishful thinking and the usual bluster and guff from our smaller neighbours
If you think I was saying that we will finish above you then you haven't read any of my posts up until now anyway.
What I was saying was that your speculative reasoning on how close Spurs will be to Arsenal is irrelevant as we always finish above you
I'd actually be disappointed if Bale leaves... not because it will leave the Spuds further behind but that's another world class player leaving the PL league.
Ben Smith ‏@BenSmithBBC 2m Gareth Bale's future is far from certain but I'm told there is no agreement with Real, yet, and that he has not asked to leave #Spurs
Shouldn't you be out milking the goats Joking apart,it was interesting to see "far from certain" & "no agreement with Real yet" in that Tweet.
