Piero Mingoia and Prince Buaben are still looking for a position. Prince was linked to Rangers but a move there did not occur.
I hear that John Eustace has agreed a 1 year contract with Derby - the very best of wishes to him. A good player for us and a great captain - I will need to find a new player to sponsor.
I think JE going and our reaction to it is a big an indication of how far we've moved on as anything else. Just a short couple of years ago he was the player who held the team (and club?) together and we were worried he was going to move. Now, although we're sad to see him go, I guess from a football point of view, we won't feel the loss. Good luck, JE and thanks for the service and commitment to the club.
Mitch, I was worried about the defence at the end of last season much more than the attack. Do you think we could do if he didn't sign? We have a few more defenders in, some with international experience. Don't get me wrong I'd prefer he signed...
Don't think any of us can answer that one Mitch - initially I thought it may have been a case of waiting for his contract to run out with Udinese so that no fee would be involved in the move here - but I see he is only 2.5 years into a 4 year contract with them. Although, quite possibly the arrangement is that the Pozzos are paying out his current contract so that we are then signing him as a free agent? That may well prove to be more involved than normal...
Nos and Hoban both out injured, Angella will need time to adjust to a new country/league/club. That leaves a 36 year old Casetti and Doyley. Yeah, it's important we sign Ekstrand!

I shouldn't panic Mitch. Had Ekstrand not been signing I think the Pozzo's would have done something by now. Could be injury related? Maybe his agent is busy with other players? Given everybody else to-ing and fro-ing there are only so many hours in the day and for all we know he might have signed a pre-contract so he is the last to be sorted? Whatever it is, and agreed it will be a big relief when it is all done and dusted signed sealed and delivered, I think we are okay with him. *and as BB said above...
