Its from the Mirror I know, so good chance its BS. But its the close season and there isnt much going on at the moment to talk about. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...lsea-offer-didier-drogba-player-coach-2069996 What would you think of this? Drogba returning as player coach? Couldnt hurt really, Lukaku especially would benefit from having some like Didier coaching him as they share similar traits.
As long as he doesn't expect to be a regular starter. Three options of Lukaku, Rooney and Drogba would be fantastic.
Do brilliant players make brilliant coaches? Drogs is a legend but I thoght Jose came with his team anyway!
I can imagine Drogba being a great coach but not only that, a great influence on younger players and plus the ability to step in if we're short of options. Like I said, as long as he's doesn't expect a regular role then I can't see anything wrong with bringing him in.
Seems too early perhaps, he's still playing C.L footie! Therefore can't see him accepting a bit role with us ATM.
Drogs may or may not turn into a coach with the ability of a Jose or Red Nose, but his ability to train and teach youngsters would be immense. A win/ win for mine
Will he be a good or bad coach? Well obviously Jose Mourinho believes he has something to offer, whatever that may be. That's enough for me, and should be enough for everyone else.
