Well Bournemouth got thrashed 6-0 although looking at the sky sports highlights could easily have been 10 or more goals. Ronaldo scored 2 as did Higuain with a goal from Di Maria and Casemiro

I'm amazed he even went. I thought somewhere lik that was below his supposed 'god-like' opinions of himself.

People say that pre season friendlies dont mean anything. However, class always wins out. I presume that Real Madrid were not really trying and they still won 6-0!

I would be impressed if City played a team like Bournemouth in a pre season friendly and without really trying beat them 6-0. Does not often happen. Shows the gulf in class.

Did not realize that Bournemouth are now in the Championship. Am even more impressed with Real Madrid. A team not trying 6 A team going for it 0.

where are all the doubters who said it wouldn't be their first team? Good luck to Bournemouth, they put a show on and made some brass.

It cost Leicester a million quid to get Real Madrid over, I'm guessing it will have cost Bournemouth similar and their stadium is far smaller.

Bournemouth are owned by Russian billionaire Maxim Demin, a million quid is **** all to him.

This was massive in Bournemouth, the real team where met by huge crowds at the airport and outside the stadium. The stadium was increased by a new 2000 seater stand. Taking it to 12k.
The club hasn't made or apparently lost by this fixture. As for the supporters, it has been a day for them to remember and hardly one dissenting voice has been heard.
Eddie Mitchell is a Del Boy businessman, who found a rare match and gave it to the fans. He has started life in the championship by filling the stadium and that has to be admired. He could teach us a few lessons. But that is where it stops, he isn't a chairman I would want for us at any point.

Are posters saying that Hull City vs Barcelona in a pre season friendly would not be worth paying extra for?

I would jump at the chance and if the ticket was £60, I bet we would still sell out. But there again we could do it for £30 with our capacity.

I think City have always been notoriously poor in pre-season, with the possible recent exception of our 3-0 win over Liverpool a couple of years back.

    Well done, Bournemouth.
I was surprised that they would play their first team but given the prices I would suppose it was part of the agreement. I'd pay £60 to see City play Real Madrid's first team even if it was a friendly.

    £10 a goal well worth the price. ;) :emoticon-0116-evilg <whistle>

At least Real Madrid played as strong a team as possible and Ronaldo did his party tricks as well as score a couple. 12,000 sell out reported :emoticon-0103-cool:

Bournmouth not having the best of pre-seasons so far.

    Bournmouth 0 West Ham 2

    Wycome 2 Bournmouth 1

    Bournmouth 0 Real Madrid 6.

still, its only pre-season and fitness,. ;)

We bumped into him and his girlfriend once in Venice - it was all very low key and, much to my surprise, he came across as a really pleasant bloke, very modest and with no airs and graces. He wasn't eating ice cream though!

Poole Town Calor Premier League £205.00 for a season ticket.
AFC Bournemouth Championship £250.00 adult in family stand.

It shows why small clubs struggle.
