http://labottegadelcalciofilo.com/2013/07/22/vydra-can-now-come-back-to-watford/ .... that he is coming back. God is in his heaven, all is right with the world. Well, unless Swansea offer silly money...
That would be the icing on the icing BB....and just imagine the distraught it will cause on a certain East Midlands club message board
If he comes back its another reason to put faith in the Pozzo's they stated after the play off final he would be coming back. Interesting to see if he can hit same form leval as mid-season and maintain it for longer... what athought if he could
Reading the article it sounds like Udinese wont sell him but are willing him to loan him for the season, leaving it up to the player where he wants to go. At least thats how I interpreted it.
Kevin Affleck ‏@affers1178 14h source today said Vydra downed tools & kicked up a fuss after he didnt get a move in Jan. Said no drama if he doesn't return.
I saw that last night too.... Hope it isn't true! My position is I'd like Vydra back as he's one of the best finishers I've seen at the club - but won't be devastated if he doesn't as feel we have very good competition for places. If he doesn't come back, wouldn't be surprised if we get Geijo back, or Ighalo.
Ah well - first time I've seen/heard anything 'near-official' about that. May well explain his goal drought from that point on.
I'm beginning to think that maybe it's not just his agent that is a stirrer, but maybe Vydra has turned into a bit of a prima donna. I would not be unhappy if he didn't return if he is dreaming of bigger things. The team did allright without him scoring many goals from the turn of the year and maybe he is getting a bit to big for his boots. Nobody is bigger than the team.
His agent at it again.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ys-striker-join-Swansea-West-Ham-perfect.html West Ham are 'perfect' for him. Guess Swansea backed out or were rejected so now has to pander him to another club!
There was a rumour that we were interested in Vydra, but one person on our board who is connected to the club, said that Vydra wasn't doing himself any favours by acting like a prima donna, despite being a very good player.
I had heard it's not just his agent, but as has been said, Vydra thought he should be off in January...and when it didn't happen, he sulked. Who knows if that's true, but if it is...i'm not sure i'd want him back...good as he is, if his heart isn't in it, what's the point..when there are others far more willing to put the effort and passion in...
There many have been a sense of disappointment when he didn't get a move to the premier league but quotes from Pudil suggest it was more a case of poor form and lack of confidence. He cried after the Leeds game and celebrated with the best of them in Watford High Street after the play off final so suggestions he doesn't care are well off the mark. i'd have him back like a shot. Best striker we've had since the days of Luther and Mighty Mo.
We dont need him, already have plenty of forwards/strikers. Plus he is a player who feels he has nothing to prove anymore at this level.
As soon as a club announces its in the market for a striker ( West Ham now) then his agent is trying to drum up interest for him, guess thats what they do but the way Vydra's has brown nosed so many clubs this summer he is making a fool of himself. I really can't see anyone offering the Pozzo's the kind of money they want for him. He really did not sustain his form after February and as i have said before young stiker following on from a missed season through a serious injury he was unlikely to. His best option IS to come back to the club that propelled him into the media spotlight and try and help Watford get auto promotion and IF that happened and he played a big part of it that would get him a big move for sure. He needs a full season at full throttle and not as happened last season almost disappear apart from that Play off semi
According to Talksport today -who of course know about these things - two Premier clubs here want him and those spendaholic Pozzos would like dosh rather than place him back in one of the other(cant remember how many) clubs they own. From what I've heard of his performances post Xmas he should be paying back much of wages for the last few months if no longer connected with WFC
If he had scored a goal or two more post Xmas he would have been automatically in the Prem this season. Swansea were thought to be interested, but according to his agent are no longer and West Ham were approached by his man two weeks ago and he is still waiting for the phone to ring. I think that if Vydra did get the sulks after the January transfer window all he has done is make himself less attractive to clubs in the UK, which doesn't seem very bright on his part.
