Rangers New State of the Art Battle Bus

IT remains unclear if the Rangers team coach was the intended target of an arson attack on a bus garage, police said yesterday. An investigation is underway after four buses were destroyed in the blaze at Bruce’s depot in Salsburgh, Lanarkshire. Among the vehicles wrecked was the Ibrox side’s luxury team coach, worth around £500,000. Another bus used by the club was also destroyed. Detectives have confirmed they are treating the fire as suspicious but say they have yet to find any evidence that the team bus was singled out.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist said yesterday: “It sounds like a premeditated attack on Rangers’ bus and I’m gutted about it but thankfully no one was killed.”

But Police Scotland said: “We are not linking this incident to any particular bus. “We are still in the early stages of our investigation.”
