To be fair he didnt say United were using Titos illness to sign Fab, he said the press were using the illness to cast a good light on the transfer.
I dont see how United could use it.

DL actively encourages stuff like that, he just hides behind his mod status to appear "impartial".

 

DL actively encourages people like EC, his input on ECs wum threads are testament to that. It was why I disagreed with my ban.

Still, he can be very reasonable too.

 

I'm just surprised he felt the need to publicise it. I'd have thought people would have worked out how those rags work by now - throw the sensationalist around to get some outrage and get more people clicking on their links. Providing a link to the story in the thread will just encourage the rag, as they'll get more page views and thus will continue to publish similar stories.

Someone on that thread made an apt reference to a heroin dealer. If people weren't so addicted to heroin, there'd be a lot fewer heroin dealers. Same with the S*n - if people are less inclined to spread that tasteless tat around then the paper will be less likely to reach for the gutter every time they have the chance.

I was kinda asked if I wanted to be a mod once, but it was during a period when I had no internet. Came back and realised that a month ago I had been sent a message asking of I was interested, but the ship had sailed.
I would definately consider it now though I think. But Varier has just been made mod, and I think he is a pretty decent poster.

I do agree there is a tolerance problem in certain boards, mainly Spurs Chelsea and Arsenal, for me anyways

 

I don't comment to often on the other boards, but I would suggest Chelsea's the worst to read, they have a mod who actively encourages wum threads which I find odd. It just invites more in. That said they have a lot of decent posters on there as well.

I'm only banned from the chav and spuds board, hardly the most tolerant of boards
