Last season- Andy King, Liam Moore and Jeff Schlupp.

Conrad Logan has been back up keeper for years but he has no chance of getting the number 1 shirt off Kasper

Those that Proud has said, plus it's expected we'll see Cain, Dodoo, Panayiotou and Taft break through this season.

We're also a 'Category 1' academy so in many ways we are a Premier League academy.

We'd certainly have more pulling power as an academy than Hull (category 3) for example.

Thanks for a prompt response. Aside from all the insults that are flying around, I do think that what is happening to the development of young talent is a worry. It is the only way that English football will survive in the long run but the FA does not seem to think that way. They are much more interested in the short term monetary returns from the Premier League.

Again, sidestepping all the fights about Watford's recruitment policies, the academy players (and the other British players) claim that they are learning a lot of technique from the Italian trained players who have signed for the club.

We're not proud of the fact we've spent money to get this Academy One status. We all think it's a ridiculous system that takes away from smaller clubs who can't afford it.

It's going to extend the gap between the PL and the Football League even more in the future and keep the rich rich and the poor poor.

That said, the system is there and although it's not perfect, we'd all rather have the best available than not.

You can't afford the players you're signing based on your income so how does that work?

It's a bugger. How do we compete with such a skewed system that seems to be designed to destroy anyone but the self declared elite?

The Pozzos have never indulged in paying high wages to any of their players and it is thought that the players are not getting silly sums at Watford. Once again you imply that you know something different. The club anticipates that they will break even soon as have the clubs in Italy and in Spain. In fact Udi have made over €100 profit in the past two seasons.

Have you seen their contracts? and do you actually know what income Watford produces?

Unlike your club we don't sign players on stupid wages. As an example Di Natale the highest Pozzo earner is only on around 20,000 a week, peanuts for a player of his standing.

Yep, it's a **** system. Whoever designed it has a few extra notes in his back pocket and I dare say thats all he cares about.

I'm not talking about wages as you'd have to pay them anyway. For the 100000th time, i'm talking about transfer fees. These players are worth millions and millions.

Point out where I said we can dipshit. Since FFP came in we can't do it but Watford have found their loophole.

Based on figures you've made up, dipshit?

Because Blackburn spent 8m on Rhodes (on 40k a week) last summer.

Well after selling Phil Jones for £17M, Christopher Samba for £12.5M, Nikola Kalinic for £5.5M, Steven N'Zonzi for £4M, & Junior Hoilett for £3.5M on top of their parachute payments, I think they can afford it - don't you?
