Currently wearing out my remote control flicking between the cricket and the golf. Might have a British winner we weren't expecting - Poulter tearing up the course.

    Anybody but tiger.

Would like to see any one of Westwood, Poulter or Mickelson win it.

I've just turned over for a quick look and just seen Adam Scott's putter. WTF?

A belly putter with this on the end

Has anyone tried one of these?

They are going to be banned along with anything else that anchors anywhere other than the hands, in a couple of years. A lot of pros are going to have to learn how to putt again.

Westwood seems to be faltering. Great charge by Poulter. Mickleson looking strong. It's bubbling up nicely...

Fingers crossed for my punt on Mickelson. He deserves one, though you could say that about Westwood.

All going Mickleson's way. Lucky bounce on final green, Woods and Scott putting like hackers, Westwood's gone...

A boring Yank at that. Gutted, had money on Westwood at 25/1, should have had E/W I guess. Shame, can see him ending up like Monty with no Major.

    Shocking comment.
It's obvious that you know buck all about golf or Phil Mickleson to make a comment like that. There is no golfer out there who gives more back to the fans than Phil. He spends hours after every round signing autographs for kids when other golfers just ignore them. His work for charity is amazing and he is the most popular golfer in the USA among golf fans and the media.
    A gentleman.

Yep & the likes of Scott will have to put some time in on the putting green just like everyone else!

I know a fair bit about golf, big fan (terrible player). However, at what point have I ever mentioned what he does for the sport or the fans. I simply said he was boring and he is.

If you ever get a chance to see Mickelson at a tournament, particularly the Pro-Am event beforehand you'll see him play the sort of shots you could only dream about. Boring he isn't, one of the most natural talents you'll ever see. His parachute shot is mind-boggling...

Seems to be local knowledge between pros that 'Westy' does not have the stamina for a major .......... shame really, comes across as a nice guy ........ maybe too nice.
He needs to have the mongrel of Faldo.

The story goes that one of Faldo's caddies had a large hole in his shoe whilst they were playing. The shoe started to fall apart so Faldo opened his wallet ................ ( the caddie thought he was going to give him some money to buy a new pair of shoes ) ............... not a chance with Faldo.

Faldo took a thick rubber ban from his wallet and told the caddie to put it over the shoe. As you know, most caddies are bordering on broke, Faldo was worth $$$$.

Other than a very small number of top golfers they are all at least as boring as Mickelson. At least he's likeable unlike that sour **** Woods. He's worked hard at his links game when lots of Americans haven't bothered and really earned it today. Westwood, frankly, bottled it once again. To hit 66 on that course is insane.
