    I can't really think of any more positions that are a necessity to improve, we got a centre half and a covering midfielder. Any one else is just a needless buy in my opinion.

    Indeed. If Saints were the undisputed Champion Club of the World, then possibly no improvements by signings would be necessary. All clubs save one need to improve and even the best needs to stay ahead.

    The 2 signings so far have been improvements on the squad in my opinion as i believe any others would be. The vision and dream is to kick on and year after year with Cortese at the helm we have added improvement's. So yes we do need to add more improvements, goals can dry up as the tail of the season proved.

    I mean there's no position where you think "we definitely need someone else there", not that we shouldn't improve.

    What is and isn't a necessity is surely all about opinion and goals? If we're aiming to finish 17th, then we need not make another signing. If we're aiming to win the league, we need a shed load more signings. Etc, etc, etc.

    I think it's fair to say that there are still people out there who haven't bought into Cortese's ambition yet. Because if they had, they'd surely appreciate the need for further, quality, signings.

    But right tho. Every team needs to improve, even the best teams in the world need to improve. We can easily find improve all over the pitch with the right players. Teams that rest on their laurels are the teams that fail and get relegated.

    I think there are still supporters out there who think that it's all too good to be true.

    Well, someone asked Cortese if he would be willing to award a player a wage of £100K per week and he said no. But he added that if Saints were in the Champions League then he would pay it to a player worthy of it.

    Thing is, he didn't out-rightly dismiss it. He's not limiting Saints anywhere near some/many supporters are.

    So, Nacer Chadli to Spurs, not a blockbuster move but a good one I think, not very expensive and they could certainly do with another winger.

    Wow. Did I miss something? Did we finish 6th last season, unfortunately missing out on Europe due to an injury or two? We finished 14th because our squad wasn't good enough by more than two players. That may seem harsh because we love our team, but it's true.

    Our old friend Pablo must be seeing the € signs in his eyes. I doubt Ramirez himself has had any input on that quote but Betancourt is probably safe to assume Gaston would be interested.

    Personally I don't see us selling him, we'd certainly not accept £13m so this is nothing but speculation from his agent.
