I know Agar is only 19, but I'm going to continue to be critical of his bowling. Swann is seriously showing him up here.

Yeah I've got to agree. He really doesn't look international standard.

He may well turn out to be international standard, but this is not the place for him to learn his trade. The Australia A team are currently on tour I believe, why is he not on that as opposed to playing in a sporting occasion as big as the Ashes?

Nathan Lyon may not have been Shane Warne, but he hasn't been doing a bad job for Australia. But maybe that is just it for the Aussie selectors: he's not as good as Warne.

    Sloppy from Prior.

Can even see Root having some success out here.

I have really taken to him , also Jim Maxwell seems to have mellowed , Mrs Jasper seems to think it is all to do with who he is partnership with . Also think Tuffers , Agnew , Boycott are Brilliant , not to impressed with Vaughan , he shows NO respect for the elders , the was he spoke to CMJ was awfull IMHO .

I'm enjoying listening to Warne squirm. After the ridiculous article he wrote in the Telegraph last week about Australia having the momentum, even he can't spin his way out of this.

Agreed. I like Henry Blofeld too, but the strain that appears in his voice makes me slightly uncomfortable. Oh for a John Arlott, a deck chair at the beach, and a long wave radio. <laugh>

Don't listen to cricket on the radio anymore, but it was easy listening with discussions about such relevant things as cakes etc. They had to paint a picture...not necessary with TV.

Cricket is one of those sports where you can be doing something else while listening. TV keeps you sat there, and on a day like this that's a no-no for me.

Big appeal there - not out.

You could do that...though think they would be out of synch as Sky is slightly behind.
