He doesnt need to step near a ref. If they fear him so much its irrelevant. If the bullshit rival fans have been spouting for years is in anyway true, it wont matter if Fergie is manager, Director or the ****ing janitor. They will still be terrified of him. Probably have to wait till he passes on before they are safe.
He chose bayern as there was no United job.... And I think you will find a player is only worth what others are prepared to pay for them. If nobody buys Bale for £80million its because nobody deems him worth £80million. Real deemed Ronaldo worthy of spending £80million on. Nobody has done so with Bale .
Yet if nobody is willing to pay that price, eventually it lowers until, if you still haven't sold, the player leaves for nothing. Like I said, you are worth what ever someone is willing to pay. The clubs own valuation means very little if the buying club(s) don't want to pay that. They'll just wait a year or two and get at a reduced price. That or the player will start making waves to force a move, again at a reduced price.
Well Modric would be the recent one. Hes not for sale and we wouldnt sell for less than x amount......... sells to madrid for less than x amount.....
Ok he didnt give an exact valuation but this will look all to familiar to you I suspect... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jun/18/luka-modric-not-for-sale-tottenham
"I wish to make it absolutely clear, as I have said previously, that none of our key players will be sold this summer." Piece dated 18 June 2011. Player sold 27 August 2012. What part of that wasn't completely consistent with what Levy said?
Didnt check the date tbh PNP. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/modric-and-bale-not-leaving-spurs-830516 thats last summer.
I really don't see what the comparison is here. To my knowledge, Bale has expressed no wish to leave Spurs, and Spurs have no intention of selling him. Modric was completely different. He insisted on a transfer and subsequently went on strike to force Levy's hand. Not that i think Levy would have agreed to his going there, anyway, but Chelsea shot themselves in the foot with their underhand tactics to try and force Levy to sell. Big mistake!...
That concept is lost on very many, most of whom seem desperate for Bale to move to one of the status quo.
He doesnt need to move yet. Unlike many players moving this summer Bale doesn't have WC to think. He's played in the CL and shown what he can do on hat stage. He can give spurs another year. They may end up in the CL again and then he my stay even longer
Your claim was that Levy said we wouldn't sell Modric for less than x amount and then we did. You've provided absolutely no evidence for that.
Wow...... Levy said your best players are not for sale and then proceeded to sell one of them. The year before he said at 'any price' though he kept Modric another year. He's currently going on about how Bale is not for sale at any price or that the bidding starts at £80million. Its nothing but posturing as he knows full well hes going to sell Bale eventually. At a guess it will be next summer and more than likely for nowhere near £80million. Going off his previous anyway.
