NO WOMAN NO CRY 11-1 2.20 N Abbot is a three times course winner at the west country track. He has gradually dropped down the handicap to the point where he is now 4lbs below his latest winning mark thus giving him an obvious chance. This is further than he has won over in the past but he can handle the extra yardage. The Tizzards haven't been in the winners enclosure recently but the horses are running ok. This one can get them back among the winners. Had the Stratford 4.30 been an eight runner race I would most likely have been putting up 14-1 shot BATHWICK MAN as well.

I like Mostly Bob today in the 3.30 - a little quote from his trainer " “He's finally got a little bit of help from the handicapper and hopefully should get his ground again. Last summer he wanted fast ground and was always running on soft. Last time out he got faster ground and seemed to really appreciate it, jumping great and travelling well. We're hopeful the drop down in grade should give him a good opportunity.” "
Well put it this way, it'll be going for that annual greys race at Newmarket next month and it's also bidding to retain it, watch it's last few races and it's clearly been held on too to plummet it's mark, now i think it needs to win this race to be able to get in, as it's now 5lbs lower than it's last winning mark and winning this should put it around about that mark again in time for the greys race which it's clearly being aimed and primed for again. If it comes near enough last and looks like it's being held on too again then they obviously have something up there sleeve in regards to the greys race, but i'm sure it has to win this race. We'll see though, i've had similar things like this in the past with an old favourite of mine Sarah's Art
Quick fire double for me at the curragh both with very good chances of scoring.chroussa and dank both to oblige at 7/2
Interesting thoughts. I have just had a look at the greys race from last season and noticed that horses were running from handicap marks much lower than his 73 today. Perhaps another run to get it down to sub 9stone (73 would have given him less than 9 stone last year) would be favourable as they got him to peak fitness. I wonder if they will try and play the hare with Orbit The Moon, in a race that doesn't have massive amounts of early pace for a sprint. He drops in trip and could be dangerous if they give him enough rope. If they had on an experienced jockey I would be having a small play. He could have more to offer over sprint trips too.
Ah i see, fair enough then, still though it'll be interesting how they play it, because in that kind of race maybe they'll want it on a similar mark as last year again ( 78 last year ) as opposed to a very low weight, in it's prep before the race last season it came last but it was on a mark of 80 and significantly got dropped to 78 from that. Either way it's clearly been laid out again so i guess we'll see whether they want to try keep it low or give it a slight increase again, 16/1 worth a punt though that they'll want to give it a proper prep to get it back to winning ways and where it wouldn't go up too much and would still be on a similar mark to last years winning one. 1/1 over c&d as well, albeit that was in 08 at 40/1!
With you on Dank. Put it in a treble yesterday with Pearl Of Africa and SNA in the KG next weekend. Got 11/4 at the time and now see it's been smashed into 5/4. Word for Silver Shuffle in the ladies race on another forum and it could be a good day for both the champion trainer and jockey at Tipperary.
Went into one of the local betting shops during lunch at Lord’s to find no racing punters, just five youths throwing their money away on the roulette machines. Pretty poor racing over here whilst there is a decent card at The Curragh. The Group 2 does look to be a great opportunity for Dank after her excellent third at Royal Ascot but I think I am going to stick with the cricket.
