I have a mixed lot, wife is chelsea but does want us to well, my daughters one is palace & other is qpr, son is palace, son in law is palace, future son in law is newcastle, brother is west ham & brother in law is qpr, took my daughters & son to watch rangers when they where young & two of them has turned on me, tell us about your family members.
My family I am proud to say are mostly QPR. God was good to us. Of course, we have s few strays. Man u, Liverpool, Leeds and Man City. One of my nephew's even supports Chelsea. He knows I don't like that but I put up with it as he is a nice kid. I have brought a lot of my non-QPR family to the home of football at various stages. This has ensured they all have a deep understanding of our passion/pain.
My wife and elder daughter support Chelsea, my younger daughter hates football; I have really failed as a father. The older of my sisters also hates football, the younger supports Palace, her son supports Villa (we've never worked out why!). My Dad is a Gooner, his brother supports Aalborg! A right mixed bag.
My daughters take after me and have blue and white blood, their mum is Man Utd it could never work she is my ex now. My brothers are Chelscum and Man Utd sadly.
My son is a 3rd generation R. One of my brothers has no interest, the other follows casually but has lived in Madrid for over 20 years and really supports Atletico. Wife and her family half hearted followers of Villa, but she and my daughter are more interested in the Rs as a gauge to the mood of the house. They even stopped mocking before Christmas last season, intuition told them it was no longer funny.
My two daughters are Rs and are season ticket holders. They enjoy the fact that they support an exclusive club that makes them different. Everyone else in their school here ( Esher ) support Chelsea (75%) ManU (10%) Arsenal & Spurs (5%) Others make up the rest. There is only one boy that they know of that is a season ticket holder and supporter of the Rs. Out of those aforementioned, only about ten out of one hundred and twenty kids have ever been to a real live match. So in real terms QPR are the best supported. My wife and her family are all Fulham fans but never actually go, but give it billy big bollocks about how they're better than us. Not my wife though. She goes to QPR more than Fulham.
My wife and adult children x 3 are not as educated as ones' self, hence, they do not follow QPR or football for that matter. By doing so, they do not endure the stresses that we RRR'rrsss fans suffer on such a regular basis, likewise, they do not look any older than their actual age. As for myself, not only do I look older than my actual age, I feel older and can be found suffering the urge for the demon drink whilst our team are up to their usual tricks. As the new season nears, the nervous twitches start to re-appear and the speech can be slurred ...................... apart from that, I fill like a million bucks! As Maxwell Smart would say ............. " An loving it, Chief "
3 boys no intrest but are happy if im happy daughter in London is Chelsea, aunt loyal QPR Dad was r.i.p QPR COUSINS 1=QPR,2Everton,3Chelsea mixed bunch really
Just little old me is a fervent hoop, the wife has a soft spot for Liverpool ( explained by the fact she is Ian "big nose" Rush'es cousin ),Stepson follows Newcastle, daughter was Manure bit i told her it's either her Dads club or Derby County as she was born in Derby (Derby it is then ) and we live here and all Wives cousins are Derby County season ticket holders. So a bit of a mixed bag really but as i explain to them all, it takes a special person to support the hoops, they just twist it around and tell me it takes a special needs person !!!!!!!!
2 eldest lads are ST holders......next 3 kids WILL be ST holders when they got older...They have no choice in the matter otherwise they get kicked out of the house.
100% for me: My sister was a Wham season-ticket holder, but now follows the Rs, her son is an R and my kids are both Rs, although my daughter (despite going to LR four times) has lost interest. The Mrs (who doesn't count) is right off football because I watch too much, has been to LR many times. I have also converted quite a few Swedes.
As a kid living in northolt I was taken to see the rangers with my dad, uncle & cousin so strong on that side of the family Then we moved to Camden where my two brothers were born so naturally they are big arsenal - one more do than the other and had a ST at the Emirates Then I married a northern bird and we live on the edge if Sheffield. She's 100% blades but my kids are ambivalent to football. My lad used to go to away games with me but is now more obsessed with being a skateboarding punkband monkey than going to the football I get loads of stick up here for being a rangers fan but also a lot of sympathy for our current plight
my uncle is a QPR fan and got me into them. his son and his son kids are all QPR, My sister is QPR but if you asked her to name a player she would struggle. Sadly her two boys are Leeds fans as they live there. I have two step brothers one of which is an arsenal fan the other is a spurs fan. which meant nothing when they were young but now its quite funny. I have tried to get my girl friend into QPR but she is far to clever to bring this sort of **** into her life.
Anyway..my dad took my to HQ when I was about 5...then he turned to manure..probably knew better than me. My Bro is Chelski/Watford Sister coulnt give a toss but her kids all ManUre Ex Misus Wet spam My kids are almost intrested, but have the new QPR kit every season......no excuses...! They hate Chelsea but not manure because of thier cousins. personally, I used to like Liverpool whilst going to QPR, but after attending HQ for so long....There can be only one........ highlander!
My Dad, was Welsh and a rugby player (Llanelli) and just took me to Rs because they were our nearest team....got me hooked on Rs and London Welsh. Now married a hubbie who has absolutely no interest in sport of any kind. Took eldest daughter to see Aylesbury Utd and then QPR, although interested when there.... it did not stick...Never tried with youngest....but as you know...she asked to go this year...and saw the Wigan game ( and so did Football 101, full course of emotions) at that match...and now proudly declares her allegiance. She will be going next season......but as she is moving to Bournemouth I hope its not to see them. Hubbies cousins Chelscum of the worst kind...never go, mouth off and actually really know nothing, even about their own players...true glory hunters...wear the shirt...don't even watch them on TV.....
My son is not yet 2 but is on his third QPR kit so here's hoping! My nephews have also been brainwashed this way although I think the elder has moved to the dark side. Mrs rrrrrs hates football with a passion!
