That made us appreciate that it is possible to defend though after the 5-4's of the Martinez era. Now our defence is pretty good. It wasn't the most exciting football but it was very tactically astute stuff except for that match against Blackpool . I remember when we played Preston North End at the Liberty, I think we beat them 2-0. It was so rare to score a second goal, that it took ages to go up on the board! Good freekick by Dobbie if I remember correctly.
Agree Jager - he bored the crap out of me as well, but Sousa did create the 'backs against the wall, all for one' mentality and think he added a bit of steel to the team but eventually 'lost the changing room' and I was glad to see him go - will always acknowledge that he was an important part of our recent history.

Reading an easy drive - stop off at Leigh Delamere for a Harry Ramsden's, then on to the match - a no-brainer really!
Last one I had of them I put it in the bin, overpriced and disgusting, do they sell rissoles at any services going up ? lol
Pleased with this, used to live near there and watch them occasionally. For the Western Gazette (known as Guts Ache locally) to be so positive is a real complement !
Was it me or was Hernandez pretty much part of the build up to everything, I really do believe he will be one of the most important players for us this season coming. Add that to the potential scoring ability of Bony mixed with Michu, the extra grit we will have in midfield, i am really looking forward to the new season
Pablo looking great and the comments about about Poz are spot on; he's going to be an excellent player for us. Shelvey again looked very positive giving us more energy in midfield. Let's hope we can take this into our season and keep improving because we all know things will get a lot tougher. On that note, the defence (Vorm apart) needs to step up several gears because Yeovil created some decent chances that better teams would have converted. The front players and the mids might be getting good goalscoring practise but these weaker (no disrespect) teams do not ask our defence enough questions. It will be a whole different game when Premier League strikers get at them and I don't feel that friendlies against lower opposition get anywhere near to honing our back four for the challenge ahead.
donnelly is looking very good and took his goal well. I think he has a big part to play this season and im glad for the lad...
