to have bairstow, root and taylor in the same team would be a bit of a risk.

Don't forget Gary Ballance. Looks a real prospect.

Indeed. As I say, I'd stick with KP.

I just want Root moved back to no.6. Never wanted him moved in the first place.

Even with the RR down at just 5.8 per over, I can already see another final over finish. These two are so, so important without Macca.

As much as I don't like KP (the cricket equivalent of John Terry), he has the ability to win a Test match on his own and has an average of around 50.00...He has too much class to not be playing International cricket IMO.

I trust Jimmy in this situation, but yeah it will probably go the distance.

Just starting to gain some confidence again. Mahmood has bowled out, and Jimmy is settling down.

Back to the top of the group. Qualification not far off being a mathmatical certainy. Still the only unbeaten team in the competition.

    Get in.

It's going to take a good team to stop the Royal's juggernaut...this is the best limited overs unit in the country.

Unfortunately, what with three knockout games to (hopefully) come, it does of course only take that one off day, and everything you've done before hand goes out of the window.

And in t20, there's also always that danger that one or two opposition players come off on the day - usually with bat, but sometimes with ball - and defeat you by themselves.

But yes, no one side is better than us in limited overs cricket.

I follow a handful of Aussies on twitter and from my occasional perusal they seem to mostly be somewhere between losing their **** at how bad they are and just total despair. In fact I've seen more Australians calling a 10-0 England whitewash than I have Englishman, by a long way. I think we'll find a way to muff a couple of Tests but the worrying thing for them is that we're not even playing anywhere near to our potential, our bowling has been pretty good but not near our best, and we've been batting at like 50% capability if not less. If Cook and Trott get into form things could get ugly.

Oh how the mighty have fallen... ;)

I'm going to keep on saying KP needs to be dropped. It worked for Bresnan. :)

Unsticking this thread Pepys as there have been concerns that there are too many stuck threads. I'm reasonably sure this one will stay buoyant through its popularity.

Good call, I like being able to see one unstickied thread below the stickies as it makes it easy to tell instantly after a refresh if there have been any posts, with the five stickies I couldn't and I must have wasted like 5 whole seconds of my life tonight scrolling down to check.

Well, it's 4. He's gone cheaply in 3. I'd still stick with him.

He frustrates me a lot. Always has, I wasn't a huge fan of his back when I was a Hampshire member. Sadly a lack of other batting options (other than the likes of Taylor with basically no test experience) means we can't even put pressure on him. Dude needs to work out his temperament.
