To be fair, Adam Johnson and that Seb Larsson are no slouches when it comes to crossing the ball and Martin O'Neill is all about getting balls into the box. He was ****e for Sunderland but you never know. Good luck to the lad, always liked him. Does it feel like 3rd best for you? What with missing out on Austin and (maybe) Hooper? Both in my eyes would have been better signings.
The fact that its a loan suggests to me that we are still going to spend a few million on another striker. Who? No idea. I expect someone from abroad (like Briand)
Superblackcatforever argued with me for an entire summer about Connor Wickham insisting that he would be a success. Ironically it was SB who grossly overpaid for him. Graham is intriguing because his pre-Sunderland record was excellent and thar excites me, but you have to wonder what happened at Sunderland, why did he suddenly appear unfit when he'd been playing a bit part role all season for Swansea? He should have been in great shape. I've seen him score what I call proper striker's goals into the corners unlike the scuffed efforts that our previous strikers produce so often. His finishing seems to be being brought into question by both Sunderland and Swansea fans but I'm inclined to ignore them. Sunderland fans in particular seem to hate everyone who leaves the place. SB has been n a success everywhere else yet they hated him and hailed MO'N as the saviour - and now he seems to be held in the same regard as Bruce... It's hard to respect these opinions.
Sunderland fans (not all of them - a couple on here are fair) seem to be incredibly fickle. The moment it goes wrong, no matter what that person has achieved, they are disliked.
I did love his goal at stamford bridge in the coc semi final Sunderland fans are the most fickle bunch of fans i've ever encountered, check their board, praising all these signing but if they don't get off the ground running, they'll be grating them to ****
Not at all. They are both Championship standard strikers who may (or may not) make the step up. Value approx. £4m each. Graham is a Premiership striker value (according to Martin O'Neill in Jan) £5.5M Though I guess 3rd best would be your aspiration (but Palace beat you to that). Maybe next season for you, though I doubt it.
Didn't realise it was a loan. Still think Hooper would rather PL with you than the shambles that it QPR
I hear Forest are the most ambitious club in the East Midlands now. They're planning to splash the cash including another bid for Wes Morgan. It's starting to look like Leicester missed their chance last season and will have to watch a bitter rival promoted instead. All this is quite amusing when your looking down from on-high especially as this time last year certain people were telling us that our positions would be reversed.
Palace have spent £8m on Dwight Gayle, Cardiff £8m Andreas Cornelius and we have got Danny Graham on loan. I know who I think got the best deal
Looks like we got ourselves a bilingual blood fest! I also like '60% of the time, it works every time" That's it, i'm watching it again now (for the 10000th time).
Palace only have Gayle and Wilbraham available (Murray is injured until Christmas), so I would have to disagree...
Murray has had one blinding season and is injured until Christmas. I would rather have Fryatt. They've also lost there most creative player.
