nice for him to assure us. i'll still say nothing will happen next week. on the phone at 4am is just him being silly. if he's there for business what is hogan's role then... if he's a transfer guy his job is at home... its a short tour so i don't mind really.
@MrBoywunder: BR: "I am confident that we will get the one or two players who will really excite and complete the jigsaw." @MrBoywunder: BR: "We're looking for good players. We just need a couple more that can give us that quality. I'm really happy with where the squad is at "
words he didn't learn: pressure success qualify words stewie downing has mistaken the meaning of form - does not mean "i got picked" skill - does not mean tap in a coutinho cross positivity - does not mean pass it back hard and fast.
Manchester City have made a £25.8m bid for Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio, 23, but the Portuguese side are believed to want £34.4m for the Argentina international. Spurs have made an improved offer of £20m for Valencia striker Roberto Soldado after the Spanish club turned down an initial bid of £17m for the 28-year-old. ---- Pellegrini proving what a top drawer manager he is...by spending 100+ mill on talent and trying to buy the title <clap>. Basically means he'll be sacked if he fails to win the PL and at least make the quarter/semis of the CL. Spurs making some good moves in the market. Soldado would be a brilliant signing. I hoped we would have signed him a few years ago
Oh how I've missed the jigsaw. I think the arrival of Paul Ince saw it disappear and funnily enough, we need a enforcer again
city and chelsea title race.... utd nowhere... its already set that way... 4th a 3 way battle but will lfc buy the players need to be in the 3 way?
Good God! How much are PSG going to spend this summer http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23386494 Another £27mil. So whats that now 80ish Could it mean Sakho will be available?
Don't know about anyone else but I'm sort of pleased we don't do this. City, psg,Monaco are all trying to buy success .chelsea will probably do the same. I prefer to see players develop more in the mould of Dortmund and what they are doing.
Agreed, it's just going to get harder and harder from here on in unless Fifa get strict with FFP. City, PSG, Monaco, Anzhi, Zenit.. It seems another one of these teams crop up each season, I'm surprised there's only two in the PL though I do see that changing. I'd love us to get there like Dortmund, but they're one of the most well run clubs in Europe. We get it drummed in to us every season, but CL is key.
CL is key. People have been saying Arsenal are going to drop out of the top 4 (usually spurs fans) for years and yet we find a way to do it (satisfyingly at their expense) I think it can be underestimated just how difficult it is to get top 4, especially with City and Chelsea using their financial muscle to bustle their way in there. With the now defunct Fergie factor it remains to be seen where Utd will finish, but they'll finish in the top 4.
I feel that if we keep Suarez and get those extra couple of quality signings that have been hinted at, then we will push very hard for a top four finish. Going on the second half of last season then we should be up there. I just don't know about united but think they may get left behind city and Chelsea .
£27mil for a 19 year old CB with 1 years experience in top flight football. Ridiculous amounts of money.
Yep, that is crazy money, but then we are talking about PSG who have been throwing money around for fund. The said part is, who is surprised by this deal?
http://www.givemesport.com/361213-paris-saintgermain-the-270m-revolution So that is £300.000.000 Million spent since 2011 with todays signing!!!!!
